This past Christmas was so much fun with the kids, especially my little man!  He was so into Christmas this last year.

CI Paints: Inspired By....Love

We had a record number of challenge participants last week at Creative Inspiration Paints!! Yay!!

This week's challenge is:

Inspired by: LOVE

That should be easy with all those Valentine's cards everyone is trying to get done for their loved ones!!

Here is my card for some inspiration:

I used a digital image from The Stamping Boutique called "AJ the romantic".  I made this card for my little guy to give to my mom!  I added CI Paint "Rustic Red" to AJ's flower and the border around the image to give some shimmer. "Pink Highlights" was used on the ribbon of the chocolate box he is holding and the punched out hearts.

It is also the last Sunday of the month, so that means it's the last challenge of the month!  Meaning a winner will be picked next Sunday!!  5 jars of paint in your choice of colors!!  How cool is that?!?!

Prairie Fairy Challenge #45 & D2D Digi

I went away from making my card completely a Valentine!!  I am just in love with the "Daffodil" digi from Prairie Fairy that I wanted to use this along with making a fun colored card!  And this was the paper jumping out at me!!

I figure if I don't use it for Valentine's day, I can use it to give my hubby some day out of the blue or maybe my mom!

Dreaming of Flowers..

Good morning! I hope you had a great weekend!

Although I love this time of year in Wisconsin, as I have time off with the kids, there comes a point where being in the house every day because it is too cold to take them outside begins to get a little old. As of late, I have been starting to dream of warmer weather and being able to work in my flower beds and client flower beds.

So this card was inspired by flowers! I had so much fun making these flowers from scratch! Although it takes a little bit to make, I think they turned out so nice and look like I bought them! I got the idea to make the flowers from "Scrap A Little".

I used "Walk in My Garden" Cricut cart.  I was so excited to use this cart as its been awhile!!

I cut out the first flower "Daisy" on the cart in 3 different sizes and 2 of each.

I then used CI Paints to paint some yummy shimmer on them!!

I then used my paper piercing tool to curl the petals to my liking!

I then layered the flower together starting with the largest daisy to the smallest.  So this flower ended up having 6 layers. I played around with making them less layers and they turn out nice as well!

 Look at the shimmer!!! I used "Chocolate" paint for this one!

Finished card:

 Another "HAPPY DANCE" moment! I love how this turned out!!

Once again....

 look at that shimmer!!  The smaller flowers I used CI Paint "Turquoise".  The smaller flowers only have 4 layers. (2 different sizes)

Lastly I was inspired by one of my fellow DT members.  On Saturday Kassi did a tutorial with the Dabbing Brush from Inkadinkado.  I had gotten the tool last month and played around with it and the paints a little bit, but then kind of forgot about it.   I used the circle foam tip and dipped it in the cover of the "Ivory" paint jar (it fits perfectly, by the way) an first dabbed it on a scrap piece of paper and then on my embossed background!

I used "Ivory" to add some yummy shimmer to the swirls! Doesn't it look nice?!?!

I just love my "Create a Critter" cart for my Cricut. When I was deciding whether or not to get it, I just wasn't sure if I would use it all that much. But I have used it a lot! These critters are just too cute! My little guy just loves them!

Last Bugaboo Mini-Challenge

Today's last mini-challenge at Catch the Bug is Anything Goes!

I've been working on another "Snowman w/polka scarf" digi from Bugaboo, but decided to use this cute little girl "Boo w/Teddy Bear".

I saw her and just had to get her!

I used CI Paint "Tutu Pink" to add shimmer to her heart on her outfit and the bow in her hair.

Bugaboo Mini-Challenges

Today's mini-challenge at "Catch the Bug" is Birthday!

This is my creation:

"Turtle Birthday"

It didn't really turn out how I planned.  I love my chalk inks, but am always so impatient to wait for them to dry!  I started putting my card together and they were still a little wet and I got some on my image.  So I used the chalks so sponge around my image to hide the mistake.

The Paper Shelter & Bearly Mine Designs

I was looking around in blog world the other day and came across two blogs that I am so glad I came across!  The first one is Bearly Mine Designs, she has some beautiful digital paper she creates!!  She even offers some of it as freebies!  I downloaded a few and printed off a sheet, kind of neat!  Now if I come across a paper I like, I don't have to hoard it!! :)  I can print it and print it and print it to my hearts content and never run out! :) Well I guess until my ink needs to be replaced!!  Check it out, she's got some fun papers!

Through her I the found out about The Paper Shelter!!  Omg...I love their digis!  So cute and fun!  I bought "Dragon's Birthday" to make a birthday card!  The digi was $1.50 and you get the regular .png version and a .png version colored in already!

They are having a DT Call, so I submitted my blog for them to check out, it would be an honor to be able to work with their digi's!!

There's a ton more I'd like to get eventually!  Check them out!

Bugaboo Stamps celebrated their 1st Birthday on Saturday (what a great day to celebrate - that was my B-day!!) Anyway....their stamps are currently 60% off in the shop!  Off course I had to go buy some more for myself!

I've liked "Birthday Monkey w/Cake" for a long time and finally got it!

I created this card for my father-in-law.  Our mascot for our race team was a monkey so this will be perfect for him!

Some Bunny Loves You

"Some Bunny Loves You"

A cute precious picture I took around last Valentine's day of my little girl.  I have already scrapped this picture, but it was much smaller, and thought it worked well for this layout.  I came across Prairie Fairy Digital Stamps recently and just love her images.  Checking out her blog, I saw she was looking to add 5 new FAIRY PRINCESSES.  She mentioned she'd like to see some layouts made with this adorable little bunny "Sending You Love 2".  I've used digital stamps on layouts before, so thought it would be fun to try out for her DT Call.

Not only are digital images great for cards, but they also work great on layouts!

CI Paints: Inspired By....Bling

Creative Inspiration Paints has another fun challenge this week:

Inspired By: Bling

I don't know about you, but I LOVE bling and shimmer!!!

My creation:

I used CI Paint "Fairy Dust" on her dress!  Look at that shimmer!!  YUMMY!  I also used "Fairy Dust" on his shirt.  I used "Garnet" on her flowers and on his bow and belt.

I used both "Fairy Dust" and "Silver Frost" on the circle that had the sentiment on it.  I used a cotton ball to kind of blotch it on.  I used "Coal" on the scallop circle.

Some of the BLING!!  I also used "Coal" around the edges of the card!

I really like how this card turned out!! ~Happy Dance!~ :)
