I have really enjoyed working with Roberta's images!

I decided to work with "Pretty Gillian" for this challenge and thought I would make a layout.  So I first started by coloring her in Photoshop.  I thought the image would be PERFECT with some images of my daugther in some of her dress-up clothes!  Something we like to do around her a lot!  My husband isn't a fan, but the little guy loves dressing up as well!! lol

As I was creating this layout I kept singing "Girls....just wanna have fun"!

After sitting back and looking at the layout I had to laugh!!  The picture with her in the hat...she almost looks like "Pretty Gillian"!!

"Daffodils" Freebie from D2D

Sweet Stamps - Challenge #3 Flowers

Sweet Stamps Challenge #3:

FLOWERS

This challenge was no problem for me!! :)  As I just LOVE flowers and have been dreaming about them a lot lately! 

I used "Cutwork Daffodils" (7012K) for this card along with "Happy Birthday Script" (915C) from Sweet Stamps!  I also used Shades Dye Ink "Brownie" on the edges of my paper and for the sentiment.

I used embossing folder "Spots"  from Sweet Stamps as well to emboss the green colored paper behind the Daffodils.

I used "Fairy Dust" to cover the polka dots on the egg, her bow and "Tutu Pink" on the flowers.

TSB "Spring Fever" Blog Hop

This is the first blog hop I am part of with The Stamping Boutique.  There are so many wonderful creations for you to check out!

We're all sick of the snow and would love a little sunshine and flowers to pop in so we decided to bring them on ourselves! And bring it we did!

My little guy wanted to create a card with the boy bunny for grandma!!  So we used "Rabbit in Egg Boy" for this card:

Very simple card!  He told me he didn't want much on it, he found my stash of buttons and decided he wanted to use those!  It's so funny when he's creating with me, I just LOVE it!

Happy Birthday

Yesterday was my hubby's birthday! I made a quick and simple card for him:

I used The Stampin Boutique image "AJ the race car driver" for his card, how fitting!! :)  He loved it!  His race car usually is orange, so I needed to make AJ's orange as well! I also needed to add #65 to the race card!

My little guy just loves this image!  When we were creating this car he kept asking for me to print it out for him!! :)  It runs in the blood! :)  We love racing!

And today happens to be our 4 year anniversary (and been together for 10yrs!!)!! He told me he arrange a babysitter and is taking me out to eat tonight, I am so excited!!  It's been awhile since we've gone out alone! :)

I really like how the flowers turned out:

I used CI Paint "Silver Frost" to add some shimmer to the watering can.

And CI Paint "Gren Olive" to add shimmer to the chipboard swirl.

I just love this image!! The card itself is square along with a few of the papers used, I also found some square bling I have been hoarding!! :)

Here are two cards that I made with some of the new stamps:

I used "Horse Portrait Oval" (3003-i), "Howdy" (3013-b, which is part of a set of 3 sentiments) and "Two Horse Silhouette" (3002-b) stamps to create this card:

 I'm really happy with how this card turned out! For the border using "Two Horse Silhouette" I used Shades Dye Ink "Brownie" from Sweet Stamps.

I also created a card with the new "Butterfly Bookmark" (#3008g) stamp!

I stamped the image twice and cut the butterflies out and made them 3D on the original image.  I love doing this technique!

Prairie Fairy Challenge #46

My second challenge as a "FAIRY PRINCESS" at Fairy Fun Friday's is:

All in the Fine Print

I have to admit, this one did make me think a little bit!

I ended up making a text backgroud that says "I LOVE YOU!!" and made it into a watermark so you could just see it. I used the "Valentine Gilly Set". You get the adorable little "Gilly" (I'm in love with her, she's so cute!!) and two frames!

Using CI Paints to Create Background Paper

Monday I shared a card I created with CI Paints on their blog and am sharing here with you today!

I just LOVE these paints, they are amazing!

I decided I was going to use the paints to create my own paper!  I used "Garnet" and "Blush" to create a background paper with my brayer.

I used glossy photo paper and first put the paints on a scrap piece and added a good amount of water to each color to help it smear a little better and to also help keep the paint wet longer (the paint was almost like soup), as the paint does dry pretty quickly.


Then I ran a brayer though it a few times and then ran the brayer across my good sheet of photo paper!

Oh does it shimmer!! :) Yummy!

I used "Winter Frost" to cover the hearts!  My the picture it is kind of hard to tell, but I made the winter frost have a tint of pink in it.  I had my cup of water next to me with my paint brush in and the water was reddish/pink from using the brush to put the paint on the scrap piece of paper.  So I took some of the water and mixed it with some winter frost to give it a tint of pink! 

Finished card:

I embossed the photo paper to give it a little texture as well. Pretty simple card, but I didn't want to take away from the shimmery background!!

I'm so excited to be designing for SweetStamps.com! 

I got my first welcome package last week...OMG...I was in heaven once again...first for being chosen to design for them and then again to get their products!!  I'm in love!! :)  These stamps are so amazing! 

They are a deep etched red rubber stamp and they stamp so clearly! 

Our first challenge is "Shades of Pink"!  The owner, Stacey's favorite color is pink, so what better way to start our challenges by doing something for her!
