GB Botanical Garden

This past Spring we took the kids to the Zoo and then to the Botanical Garden.  It was such a great morning!

Here's a layout from our trip to the garden:

It's sad to think that once again our flower season is over again for a few more months, but I do always like the color change in fall!

Have a nice day!

Blow Out Your Candles...

Good morning!  I have a very simple birthday card I created with some Creative Clear Stamps and my Cricut to share with you this morning!

For this card I used the sentiment single "Cake on Fire".
But I decided I wanted to use it a little differently and show you how you can get uses out of your stamps in different ways.

I used a post-it note to cover up parts of the stamps so I could ink it up without getting all the words.
I first stamped the first line "Blow out your", cleaned off the stamp and then masked it again to just get the word "candles" on the second line.

I stamped it on the front of the card to just read "Blow out your candles".
I used the end of a paint brushed dipped in the ink I used to add the little dots after the sentiment.  The candles were cut from my Cricut.

I didn't want to used "before the cake starts on fire" so that I could use this for a younger girls birthday.
The inside sentiment was made in Word and printed out.

Lastly, I added some shimmer to the candles.
Hope you've liked my post today.

Have a nice day!

Clean and Simple with SS

Sweet Stamps Challenge:

Clean and Simple

Make sure to join us on the Sweet Stamps blog, we'd love to see what you create. You have a chance at winning $20 to purchase some "sweet" things of your own!! There's plenty of wonderful things to choose from!

I had a lot of fun making this card!
It is kind of hard to tell, but I begun making this card by first using VersaMark to stamp the "Tiny Snowflake Background" on the entire piece of white cardstock.  I just love this background stamp!  I then using clear embossing powder.  Then I used a snowflake embossing folder that I recently picked up.  Added some silver rhinestones!  And then used the sentiment "Look Like Christmas"!  And of course the entire time I was creating this card I was singing "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere we go..."  :)

Have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!!

CI Paints Inspired By: Embossing

This week's challenge at Creative Inspiration Paints is:

Inspired By: Embossing

Isn't this card beautiful?!  Perfect for a wedding card or even a bridal shower card!  I gave it to my mom to use for my cousin's bridal shower this weekend.  A Stampin' Up Demo has card classes at our local library and I decided to check it out last month and this is one of the cards we created.  But you know me I didn't put it all together there as I wanted to bring it home and add some of my own touches!

One of them being my CI Paints!

Look at the shimmer!  If you haven't tried out these paints yet, you really should!  They are amazing!

Have a great day!

Thinking of You

As many of you know I LOVE flowers, so when I seen this image from D2D I knew I just had to use it!  It's called "Autumn Mums".

My aunt just found out last week she had breast cancer, so I created this card with her in mind and sent it out to her.  She has already had surgery and is feeling great.  Everything went well and I sure hope it continuesto go well for her.

I just love this paper!  It's a new paper pack I picked up at Archiver's called "Forever Fall Collection" by BoBunny!  It's a 6x6 pad!  I can't believe all the adorable little packages coming out in that size!  I have been so good lately up until I went to Scrapfest and the Milwaukee Stamping Expo!

Have a nice day!

Yay for Fall!

So sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I've been having some computer problems!  I just hate computers when they act up!  But my uncle has it all fixed, so I should be able to get things posted again!

So excited it is fall, I just love fall color!  The trees here are beginning to turn colors!

Just a pretty picture I found on the internet.

Have a nice day!

My Favorite Things

What a great theme!  A chance to share our favorite crafting items as well as showing off some Creative Vision stamps!!

Here's my creation:
I tend to have a pretty clean and simple style, yet I think elegant, which is what I decided to go with on this card to show off some of my favorite crafting items!!  My favorite crafting item is BLING!!  I used one on the flowers and a few along the border punched paper.  Which is another one of my other favorite items...border punches and I love dies.  I also love using RIBBON!!  I have a huge paper addiction as well!

I also love FLOWERS!  Which is why I was attracted to this "Thank You" set.  For this card I decided to use the entire stamp as I have used it to make flowers on a previous card.  That post can be found here.

The "Thank You" stamp set is so versatile!  So many things can be done with it!  I love it!

And lastly I LOVE my Creative Inspirations Paint!  They add such a wonderful shimmer to anything!  I used "Amethyst" to add shimmer to the purple cardstock paper.  Just look at the shimmer:

CI Paints Inspired By: Buttons

This week's challenge at Creative Inspiration Paints is:

Inspired By: Buttons

Let's see some creations with buttons!

Join in, we'd love to see what you create, and most importantly you have a chance at winning some paints for yourself!  You'll love the shimmer!

For this card I used a Prairie Fairy Design's image called "Harley Boy".  My aunt called me the other night wanting a manly birthday card, perferably a motorcycle one.  And she needed it ASAP.  Well thankfully some of PF's images when purchased come with a colored version for those last minute cards!  What a deal!  If you don't have time to color in an image, you can just quickly print the colored version and put it on a card!

The inside reads "May your day be sunny & bright with an open road before you!  Happy Birthday!"

Have a great day!
