Hippity Hop Easter's On Its Way....

I found this really cute easter basket idea on splitcoast stampers and thought I'd try it out! I am always trying to find cute little ideas for little gifts for Sawyer and Ava's babysitter and the kids there, along with family members. These were so easy and fun to make!

Supplies:

1 - 4 3/4" x 7 3/4" piece of cardstock for basket base
1 - 1" x 11" piece of card stock for basket handle
1 - 1 1/2" x 15" (I actually cut mine 1 1/4" x 6 1/2") piece of patterned paper to decorate basket base
1 - 7/8" x 11" piece of patterned paper to decorate basket handle
Scoring Tool
Scissors
Two Large Brads
Adhesive
Stamps, Ink and additional cardstock to decorate the basket
Tissue Paper or Easter Grass
Easter Eggs (or whatever you'd like to fill the basket with)

Steps:
1. Adhere the patterned paper strip on the center of your carstock strip for the basket handle.
2. Score your 4 3/4" x 7 3/4" piece of cardstock for the basket base at 1 1/2" on each side.
3. Cut the cardstock at the two scored lines on both sides of the long length of cardstock.
4. Add adhesive to the outside four corners of the cardstock.
5. Prefold your score lines and then assemble your basket.

6. Decorate the outisde of your box.
7. Punch a hole on each side of your basket and use a brad to attach the handle to both ends.
8. Finsh by placing tissue paper or grass in the basket and then add your goodies!!

Wish Big

Aren't the house mouse stamps cute?
I recieved this image in an image swap I was in with My Not So Secret Sisters!

I used Creative Inspiration Paint "Fairy Dust" to cover the frosting on the cupcake to give it a little shimmer! If you haven't checked their paints out, you really should, the things you can do with the paints is endless!

Designed 2 Delight

Our 4th free digi stamp from Designed 2 Delight for the month of March is "Garden Fairy". I really like this digital image! I imagined her over a row of flowers so I quickly made these two cards to meet the deadline tonight, I've been on vacation so wasn't able to do much crafting. But am glad to be home and crafting again!! :) Enjoy.

I used Creative Inspiration Paint "Fairy Dust" (how appropriate!!) to color in the fairy's wings along with covering the flowers to give them some shimmer!

The paints are so much fun to use!

Bunny Birthday Card

An image I recieved in a image swap I was in. This little bunny is so cute! It's kind of hard to tell, but I used Mod Podge to give the frosting on the cake a little texture!
I also used CI Paints to add shimmer to the circles on the bunny's birthday hat and then added Diamond Glaze to add some height on top! It turned out neat!

Designed 2 Delight "In Bloom" Digital Image

This weeks digital image from Designed 2 Delight is called "In Bloom". I made a few cards using the image as I love flowers!! Faith has some really amazing digital stamps! I have a few more I'm working on, but wanted to get these posted just in case if I can't make the deadline for the others by tomorrow.
I used CI Paints to paint in the flowers. Love the shimmer!!

One this card I also used the CI Paints to cover the brads! No more having to pay more money for glittery brads when I can use these paints to cover whichever ones I want to add some shimmer!!

Cute Girl

I really like how this card turned out, one of those late nights I couldn't sleep I put this one together! The little girl is a digital stamp and I forgot to write down where I got this one from, sorry.

I added pearls on her necklace, which I thought turned out perfect!

I printed off some more images and am hoping to get them colored in over the weekend to make some more cards similar to this.

Loving Creative Inspirations Paints!!

I got my Creative Inspiration Paints in the mail last week and just fell in love with the colors! The colors are amazing and packed full of shimmer!! There are endless possibilities of what you can do with the paints. You can use an auqa pen with the paints to color in an image, cover ribbon with the paints to add shimmer to the ribbon, make your own shimmer mist, stamp with the paint and more! The paint sticks to almost every surface!
The paint colors are very vivid and full of shimmer!! To see all th available colors click here.

My first card I created using the paints! I didn't color this image in at all, except for the watering can. I first stamped the image with black pigment ink and embossed it with black embossing powder. I then used an aqua pen, which I dabbed in the paint and filled in the image. I am really happy with how this card turned out. I left it fairly simple as I didn't want to take away from the image or all the shimmer!

Close-up of the card!

Stamp: Northwoods Rubber Stamp, Inc.
CI Paints: Fairy Dust, TuTu Pink, Amethyst, Plum, Canary, Sage
Gems: Basics by Kaisercraft
Ribbon: Robert Stanley Collection from Hobby Lobby
Paper: Random scraps

My first try at making a video in hopes to show you all the shimmer from the wonderful paints!

Another quick card I made with the paints!!

Stamp: DeNami Design "Stacked Presents" N89
CI Paints: Plum, Tickled Pink, Sage, Buttercup, Rose Quartz, Turquoise
Paper: Striped papers is from DCWV "Flower Shower Spring Matstack" and the others are random scraps
Last night after I had the images colored in I was so excited how cool the paints were that I had to share the images with my husband. He usually always tells me my cards are really nice and wgat not, but this time he actyally took the image from my hands and examined the image! He was so impressed by the paints! Thought I'd share that!!

Balancing Act

This weeks new digital stamp from Faith at Designed 2 Delight is these cute little birds called "Balancing Act". I am really enjoying working with digital stamps!

---------------------------------------------------------

Paper Piecing

1. Choose the stamp or digital image you'd like to work with. In this case I am using a digital stamp.

2. Stamp or print the image on each piece of paper you would like to use. Being thise was my first time trying this, I stayed simple and just used plain paper with little texture.

3. Cut the pieces out.

4. Use adhesive of your choice to adhere the pieces to the original image. I like using Scotch Quick Dry and any kind of pop-dots that will give it some dimension.
5. Color the rest of the image in, if you'd like.

6. Add any other paper or embelishments of your choice.

7. Finish the inside of the card with a sentiment.

8. Finished Card!

Birthday Card

I got this adorable digital "Sock Monkey" stamp from Bugaboo Stamps! Isn't she cute? I made this card quickly this afternoon for my little sister's birthday! I think she's gonna love it!

A close-up showing the layering. I printed the image and colored it and I also took the image and opened it in Photoshop to just grab the bow, which I printed again and used a pop-dot to give it some dimension!

Scrapping Saturday

Was able to spend the day in my craft room!! DH (Dear Husband) took the little guy to the shop with him today and Ava and I spent the day in my craft room! I have added a pic of her to the left...watching me craft!
