This week's challenge at Creative Inspirations Paint is:

Inspired By: Anything But A Card
This week, I decided to take the oppurtunity to make a mini hand sanitizer holder to give someone for the holidays.  What fun it was to make, I'll be making more of these!

I used some great stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations to create this little package! Along with some CI Paints to add shimmer to the poinsettia.

Have a great day!

You're a Hoot!

My parents and sister came to visit use not too long ago and my sister usually always has something goofy to bring along.  Well, this last night she had a fun winter hat along with some big old goofy glasses that had the lens taken out.  Well Ava LOVED the glasses, we couldn't get them off for the life of us!
Of course I had to get a picture and scrap it! :)

Have a nice day!

Fall

Here's a quick layout I created for the kids albums.  The sure love being outside.  On this particular day we were at the shop and they love running up and down the hill we have next to it.  I loved watching them and then went over to show them how to roll down it.  They just loved that!  Such fun times!

Well, today is BLACK Friday!  Get any deals?  I don't plan on going out unless I decide to after my husband comes home from hunting tonight.  I just have planned to play with the kids today and possibly start decorating for Christmas!!

Have a great day!

Adorable Penguin

Here's a fun Christmas card I created for my mom to give one of her co-workers.  They all love penguins, so I'm always on the outlook for penguins.

I just love this adorable digital image from The Stamping Boutique.
It's called Peek-A-Boo Penguin!  I added a ton of rhinestones to the ornament along with CI Paint Fairy Dust!  So it's a beautiful shimmery ornament!

Have a nice day!

Light Switch Cover Fun

Recently, I was inspired by a tutorial online to alter a light switch covers!  I obviously instantly thought of my Create Inspirations Paint!  How fun it would be to create a shimmery light switch cover with some bling for my little girl's bedroom!

The plain, boring light switch cover:

I used Mod Podge to cover the light switch cover and then added tissue paper over it and added a little more Mod Podge.

I then used CI Paint "Tickled Pink" to cover the cover.
I painted it with two coats.

I then used a sponge to sponge "Tutu Pink" on the cover.

Lastly, I added some bling!  I used some of the jeweled clear inspirations from CI!  In sizes SS30 and SS20, along with some smaller ones from my stash.
The finished light switch, just love at that BLING!

 Now replaced in her bedroom!
It was so fun and easy to make!  Perfect for her bedroom!  She always says "Petty" meaning pretty!

Have a great day!

Anything Goes with D2D

This week's challenge at Designed 2 Delight is Anything Goes!  So I took the time to make a Christmas card for my mom to give away this Christmas.  The ladies she works with, along with herself, love penguins!  So each year I created cards and projects for them with penguins on!

So the "Skating Penguin" was a fun digital image from D2D to use for this card!

I have some other cute penguin projects I am currently work on!  So check back!

Warm Winter Wishes

Good morning!  As I mentioned last month, I was lucky enough to be chosen to design for Inspired By Stamping!  Joanna, the owner, is so sweet!  And her stamps are amazing!  I love them!  As a welcome she sent me the "Winter Wonderland" set!  I love snowflakes, so this has been such a fun set to work with.

So here is my first card I've created using her stamps!
I also really like this new snowflake embossing folder I picked up when I was at the show in Milwaukee.  It's from Sizzix.

I used Creative Inspirations Paint "Blue Ice" to add shimmer to the work winter.

Post-It Note Holders

Awhile back when I was looking around blogland I found a fun tutorial to create post-it note holders!  I thought what a fun idea for a little gift for people.  So I decided this holiday season I was going to make some.
(Sorry I can't find the tutorial off hand, but will be making more and share the measurements then)

I acutally created two to share today using an adorable snowman stamp from Creative Vision!  I love snowman so when I seen the "Let It Snow" set I just had to have it! ;)  There is also a really fun tree in the set that I love!!

Here are my post-it note holders:

Inside:
I used the Let It Snow sentiment from the set in the inside of this holder.  I also used the tiny snowflakes from the set to add some snowflakes to the top post-it to just tie the whole project together.

My second holder:
On this one I used the sentiment on the front.

Side view when closed:

Inside:
Again I used the tiny snowflakes on the first post-it.

Just something fun I also did with the small snowflakes that I wanted to share:
I used some patterned snowflake paper, but thought it would be fun to use the tiny snowflakes to add more to the paper.  The piece on the left has the added stamped snowflakes, where the one on the right is an original piece of the paper.  Kind fun, plus just makes another use for those stamps.

Hope you liked my project today, as I loved making them!

Have a great day!

Non-Traditional X-Mas Colors

Sweet Stamps Challenge:

Non-Traditional Christmas Colors

Make sure to join us on the Sweet Stamps blog, we'd love to see what you create. You have a chance at winning $20 to purchase some "sweet" things of your own!! There's plenty of wonderful things to choose from!

Here's the card I created:
I have to admit, this is the first time I really created a Christmas card with orange and blue colors as the main colors!  Kind of fun!

I started off by stamping "Lace Tree" with Shades Dye Ink "Forest" on a green patterned paper from the "Desert Blooms" 6x6 First Edition Premium Paper Pad.  The star was from the die set "Christmas Tree Multi Frame Set".  I then painted the star with "Peach" Creative Inspirations Paint to give it some shimmer.  I love the font of the sentiment "Merry Christmas Script" in which I used on the front.  The other patterned paper I used on this card is from the "Christmas Joy" 6x6 First Edition Premium Paper Pad.  The front was finished off by adding some "Orange" rhinestones! And in the inside I used the "May The Peace" sentiment.

Make sure to check out all the other DT blogs and leave some love!

Have a wonderful day!

Baby Boy

A friend of mine recently had a baby boy, he is so adorable!  Always seems to make me want to have another one!

So I needed to create a card to go with the gift.  I just LOVE this adorable new image from Faith at Designed 2 Delight, called Mouse on the Moon!  What a great baby image.  So I decided to put it in use:

It's my turn to host this week's challenge on the D2D Blog, in which I've chosen "BABY", join in for a chance to win!

The hubby is gone once again this weekend, so it's just the kids and I!! We've rented movies and got some popcorn!  Maybe do a little Christmas shopping and cleaning!

Beach Time

It is so sad to think that the nice weather is once again done for awhile!!  Can't wait for some beach time again next summer!  The plus side is that I am off for a few months!!  So that means lots of time with the kids and lots of time to craft!!

Sweet Stamps Red, Green & Gold

Sweet Stamps Challenge:

Red, Green and Gold

Make sure to join us on the Sweet Stamps blog, we'd love to see what you create. You have a chance at winning $20 to purchase some "sweet" things of your own!! There's plenty of wonderful things to choose from!

I created a surprise card using this fun tutorial I recently found.
For the main front sentiment I used "May the Peace", such a perfect sentiment for those holiday cards as well as a fun font.  The paper I used is from the 6x6 Authentique stack "Wonder".  I just love this stack!

When the card is popped up it shows the "Merry Christmas Script" sentiment.

A close-up of the front sentiment "May the Peace".

For the front green strip of paper I used Core'dinations and first embossed it and then sanded it.
The sanded areas stood out a little too much for me.

So I sponged Creative Inspirations Paint "Green Olive" to tone it down a litte and to add some shimmer!

Have a wonderful day!

Princess Layout

I don't have the pictures printed out yet for this layout yet, but have the layout created!  (Wow...so impressed with myself, normally I don't do a layout without having the pictures!)

But I am super happy with how it turned out dispite not having the cute pictures.

My recent trip to Archivers I picked up these new papers that I fell in love with!  And created a "Princess" layout for Ava.

I cut "princess" from my Cricut using the Lyrical Letters cart.
I added "Amethyst" to the letters to add some shimmer!  I just love my Creative Inspirations Paint!  I mean what princess layout is complete without shimmer?!

And....BLING!

Molly at CI Paint has also started carrying hot fix jewels recently!  Another addiction of mine!  So I loaded this layout up with a ton of bling!
I used jeweled inspirations clear SS20.

Although I have been creating a lot of digital layouts recently in an attempt to get caught up on my kids albums, I still love making traditional ones!  I love cutting up paper and get my hands messy with the paints and ink!

Have a great day!

Pumpkin Patch

Here's a layout I created from out trip to the pumpkin patch this year!  The kids had so much fun picking out their pumpkins!!
I've been on a roll creating layouts lately, hopefully this will be the year I get caught up for a change!! Keep dreaming right?!?!  Maybe if I would stop taking so many pictures that would help!  But that won't happen!

Have a nice weekend!
