Let It Snow

Hello Stamping Friends!
It's my day once again to post on the Honey Bee Stamps Blog!!

For my card today, I was inspired by all the snow we've gotten!
We got 14 inches of snow yesterday!
CRAZY!

I was inspired to use gold glitter for the word snow!

So I stamped the word "snow" from the Flakey Sentiments stamp set with my glue ink pad.  I then rubbed gold glitter over the stamped sentiment.
Looks a little messy right now, but after it dries, I am able to wipe off the excess glitter!!

I then used the Flakey Sentiments stamp set again along with the Flakey Friends and More Flakey Friends stamp sets to add pretty snowflakes to my card!!
I love the gold, pink and turquoise!!

Here is my finished card:
I absolutely LOVE these new stamp sets!!

Freshly fallen snow is so beautiful!

Here is one last Christmas card for this year!

Created using the "Wonderland" stamp set that was designed for Clique Kits, by Honey Bee Stamps!!
I gave this particular card to my godmother, she absolutely loved it!

She loves vintage Santa's, so I figured this piece of patterned paper was perfect for her!

Most Wonderful Time of The Year with HBS

Hello Stamping Friends!
It's my day once again to post on the Honey Bee Stamps Blog!!

I am so over the moon excited to share my project with you!
Why?!
Because I just got the newest stamps!

AMAZING!

They are so adorable!!!
And there are so many possibilities with these sets!!

I decided to use all three sets!

And the first card I decided to create is with the adorable snowman and Christmas tree:
I decided they would be perfect to use for a shaker card!

The snowman is part of the Flakey Friends set, as well as his cute hat and scarf!!

The tree is part of the More Flakey Friends stamp set!

And the sentiment is part of the Flakey Sentiments stamp set!
Although, I altered it a little bit!

Originally it is straight, but I thought it would be fun to curve it a little to go along with the "snowdrifts" I was trying to create!

I pulled out the piece of cardstock I wanted to mimic and traced part of it on my stamp block with a sharpie, as shown below:
I was then able to easily line up the sentiment to follow the drift.
I also decided to break up the sentiment.

These stamps are going to be so much fun to work with!!
They're going to create so many fun projects!!

I pretty much stuck with the sketch for my card today!

As I decided to use the Happy 2016 stamp set and wanted to use some fun bright colors for a New Year's card!
I honestly have never really made a New Year's card before, I've only made a wine tag last year to bring to my parent's house.  So this was fun!

I really like how it turned out!
 Very bright, fun and cheery!
Perfect for the New Year!!

I decided to created a "double" shaker, as I am going to call it.
I hope your new year is amazing!!

Pretty Ornament with Honey Bee Stamps

Hello Stamping Friends!

This is my second post of the day, so be sure to see my post below as well!!

It's my day once again to post on the Honey Bee Stamps Blog!!

I am excited to share this creative card with you!  I hope you enjoy!

I thought it would be fun to create me own stamped ornament using some of the tiny images in some of the Honey Bee sets!

I started by taking a thin piece of printer part and die cutting a circle from it.

I wanted to use the negative piece, which will turn into my ornament!  I used painters tape to hold the stencil I created in place.  I also decided I wanted to leave a section empty from a design, so I could add a sentiment to the ornament as well.

I then grabbed some awesome stamps!

I decided I wanted to use the pretty swirl from the Thanks stamp set!  I also decided to use the cute little heart from the Cherish stamp set to use between a few of the swirls, to add a little more interest!
A this point I was already getting very excited!!

Here's a picture of my ornament all stamped up!!
As you can tell I decided to create the ornament elegant and stick with traditional Christmas colors!

Here is another look, but this time with the "celebrate" sentiment added as well as some gold stars!
Both the sentiment and star are part of the Life Right Now stamp set!!

I finished the ornament up by deciding to take a black marker and trace around my circle template.  I could have left it as is, but decided I wanted a definite edge to my ornament.

I also used my marker and a ruler to add "string" from the top of the ornament!

Now for my finished card:
Isn't it beautiful?!

I really love how it turned out!!

Here's one more look:

Just image all the beautiful ornaments you could create!!

I'm so excited to create more cards like this in the future!!

Snowflake Christmas Tree with IBS

Good Morning Stamping Friends!!

I am on the Inspired By Stamping Blog today!!

Today I am going to share a quick and easy tutorial with you.

I'm going to use some of my IBS stamps, to once again create my own Christmas tree.

This time it's going to be a snowflake tree!!

Start by collecting some supplies:
 Cardstock
Stamps
Ink

Begin by creating your bottom layer of your tree.
I decided to go with some pink snowflakes first!!

I just eyeballed it! So no real need for a ruler, unless you feel as though you really want one.

Then continue with the next layer.  I decided to switch to a different color as well as a different snowflake design!
I also put these a little tighter together.
But then went loose again with the snowflakes for the next layer.

Continue on up the tree as you wish!

I finished the tree up by adding a trunk!
I thought the light-bulb end from the Festive Greetings stamp set would make the perfect trunk!!
Don't you think?!
It's so fun to find different uses for your stamps, then what they were intended for!!

Here's my finished card:
I used the snowflake in the Christmas Wreath stamp set for the "star" at the top of the tree!!

Just think if all the fun Christmas trees you could create!!
