YNS November Feature Day

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's Feature Day at Your Next Stamp!!

Feature Day Theme Is....
Tags

What a great feature day theme!  I was so excited to see this theme, why you ask?!?

Well every year I tell myself I am not going to buy tags for my Christmas gifts and am going to hand make them! Well I get short on time with all the Christmas hustle and it never happens!

So this feature day theme really helped me this year!!  I may actually be able to make that goal this year!!

Here are a few of the tags I created:
Aren't they cute?!

I knew I wanted to do something kind of quick so that I could make a bunch of them and not take hours!  So instead of coloring all the images in, I stamped the images with an ink color!  I just love all the new inks from YNS!!!

These are all the colors I used:

They are truly beautiful!!

I used the amazing Cool Tag Three Die Set to create each of the tags!

I then used these stamp sets to create the tags:

Each one of these sets is so fun!!  I love them all!!

I especially liked having the Mini Letters and Numbers stamp set so that I could add the "To" and "From" to the tags.  For the tags that I didn't have enough room to add the "From" to the front, I added it to the back:
I used a black marker to add the two dots at the end of the stamped "To" and "From".

And as always, I finished off my creations by adding some yummy Gumdrops and lovely Divine Twine!!

Deepest Sympathy

Hello Stamping Friends!

Today I am on the Inspired By Stamping Blog!!

I believe, like many people, I struggle with Sympathy cards.  I never have liked making them, but unfortunately sometimes we have to.

When the Garden Roses stamp set was release this month, I thought what a wonderful set it would be to use to create an elegant and beautiful Sympathy card.

So I am going to share with you today a fun and quick Sympathy card.

I started by using my VersaMark ink to stamp the open view of the rose in my bottom right corner of my card three times and then used white embossing powder to cover it.  I heat set it with my heat tool!

I then grabbed my Distress Ink Pad in Squeezed Lemonade and a dauber, so that I could add some color to the edge of my paper.

I inked up the dauber and added the ink by first dabbing it on my scratch piece of paper and then bringing the color onto my main piece in a circular motion.
Continue to your liking!

At first I started out thinking I was going to use a pink ink, but decided on a yellow as I wanted the roses to be a little subtle in the background.

My finished Sympathy card:

I added the sweet "someone so special will never be forgotten" and "With Deepest Sympathy" from the Big Sympathy stamp set!

I love the slight size difference between the two sentiments.  As well as the fonts used!  Makes for a really nice flow in my opinion!

I then added some twine and some enamel dots to finish off my card!
I think it makes for a really elegant Sympathy card!  I tend to like to create clean and simple Sympathy cards, since the matter at heart is pretty huge and heavy.

 Thanks for stopping by today!

I created this beautiful card using the two sets!!
I love how it turned out!!  The stamps are so much fun and the colors used are so perfect together!

As I was assembling the card, I realized I really hadn't thought about where I was going to put the sentiment, but decided that I just really enjoyed the mittens being the only real focus on the card!  So I saved the sentiment for the inside!!

Flip-It Fun

Hello Stamping Friends!

I am on the Your Next Stamp Blog today sharing how to create the fun "Flip-It" Card with the Half Circle Flip Die Set!

In my opinion this is a must have die!  It really creates a fun card!

It may look a little intimidating at first! Which is why I have created a tutorial for you to make it easy!

Just to let you know, I am also working on a second part to this series!!  First I wanted to share how to create a Flip-It card!  My next tutorial I am going to share another fun card design to change it up a little!  Another use out of this awesome die!!

Here is a look at a few supplies I quickly grabbed to get me started:
I started by creating a A2 Card base (8 1/2" x  5 1/2"), scored at 4 1/4".

I decided I was going to use the larger of the two dies from the Half Circle Flip Die Set to create this Flip-it card!!  As my sentiment and image I want to work with will work best with this size!  I've also used the awesome Circles with Stitching and Piercing Marks Die Set!  As these circles work so well together with the Half Circle Flip Die Set!

So lying my card base down I found the center of the left half of my card base, which is 2 1/8".

You can then place the card base and die in your die cutting machine.  Place the die just over your marks you created, with the circle facing to your left.  Position the die evenly from top to bottom as well, unless you want the circle position more to the top or bottom.  I am trying to make it as centered as possible.   Feel free to use a little painter's tape or post it note to keep the die in place. I have magnetic platforms, so I normally don't use them unless I think I need to!
You are then ready to run in through your machine!  So exciting!!

It will look like this:

Now fold along the center score line, just like it was a normal card.

Lastly carefully fold the right  most section over to the left along the score lines the die created!  Should look like this:
YAY!!  You just created a Flip-It Card base!  How exciting and so much fun!

The Half Circle Flip Die Set really is great for making creating this card design so fun and easy!!

You are now able to embellish your card to your liking!!

Here is my finished card:
How fun!!  I used the adorable Just Plane Amazing stamp set for the sentiment and plane!!  As well as the coordinating Just Plane Amazing Die Set to die cut the plant, in which I then used pop-dots to adhere to the circle.

To get the striped piece of paper, I simple ran the die through my die cutting machine on the pattern paper, I then trimmed three of the edges slightly (but did not trim anything on the right side)!

Here's a glance at my in process work of creating the clouds on my die cut!
I used the Puffy Cloud Border Die Set to die cut one of the clouds to use as a mask.   I then used the Blueberry Breeze to ink add ink to the circle in circular motions.  I moved the mask a few times.  I really like how it turned out!!

Opened up:
On the inside I stamped two clouds also from the Just Plane Amazing stamp set and also added the large "Happy" in Holly Berry Red Ink and "birthday" in Black Olive Ink from the awesome Happy Everything stamp set!!

What a fun design!!

I finished off this card by adding some lovely Gumdrops!!  I just love those embellishments!!

I created this card when the die was first released:
This card used the smaller of the two dies from the Half Circle Flip Die Set!

I hope I have helped you see how fun and easy it is to use this die!!  You'll love it!!

Winter Fun DT Dare

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's November DT Dare day at Your Next Stamp!!

DT Dare is....
Winter Fun

I decided to start with one of the sweet Waddle images from the Waddles Winter Happiess stamp set!  As well as using the coordinating Waddles Winter Happiness Die Set to die cut the image after coloring it in.
Waddles holding this mug, I thought would be a perfect image on this die cut K-Cup Holder!  I absolutely LOVE the Kup Holder Die!!  Creates such a sweet little package!

And it doesn't have to be used just for K-Cups, you can put many other little gifts in this holder!

The "Hot Chocolate Warms My Insides" sentiment is from the new Silly Monsters Chill Out stamp set, which I inked up with the Black Olive Ink!  I used Olive Green Ink to ink up the edges of my pattern paper and piece that I stamped the sentiment on!
And as always, I finished up my project by adding some yummy sparkly Gumdrops and Green Solid Divine Twine!!

Thanks with Foil

Hello Stamping Friends!!

I'm on the Dare 2B Artzy Blog today!!

For my card today I tried something new!
Something I have always wondered about, but just hadn't found the chance to give it a try!!

A Few of my supplies:
 I decided to try foil!!

Paired up with the fun Thanks Die!

I started off by die cutting the thanks from an Adhesive Sheet!  So that it created a sticker for me!
I then ran it through my die cutting machine!

I carefully peeled the sticker from the die and adhered it to my paper I was going to us:
It's slightly hard to see as it is clear.

I decided to use some greenish foil as I thought it would match perfectly with the lovely D2BA paper I wanted to use!!

So now for the fun step!!
Place the foil, color up, over your sticky sticker!!  Rub the foil, like you would a rub-on sticker!
 Peel the foil!

And ta-da.....
 How cool!!!

I LOVE it!!

Now for my finished card:
I just love how it turned out!

I added the "for everything you do" sentiment from the Thinking of You stamp set in Midnight Blue Ink!!

I also used Paradise Ink to stamp the pretty flower to the left of my sentiment, which is part of the Power of Flowers stamp set!
I just LOVE the Chevron Patterned Paper!
This is one of those sheets of paper I want to hoard as I am afraid of running out of it!! lol!

Check out all D2BA's products here!

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a beautiful day!
