I found this really cute easter basket idea on splitcoast stampers and thought I'd try it out! I am always trying to find cute little ideas for little gifts for Sawyer and Ava's babysitter and the kids there, along with family members. These were so easy and fun to make!
Supplies:
1 - 4 3/4" x 7 3/4" piece of cardstock for basket base
1 - 4 3/4" x 7 3/4" piece of cardstock for basket base
1 - 1" x 11" piece of card stock for basket handle
1 - 1 1/2" x 15" (I actually cut mine 1 1/4" x 6 1/2") piece of patterned paper to decorate basket base
1 - 7/8" x 11" piece of patterned paper to decorate basket handle
Scoring Tool
Scissors
Two Large Brads
Adhesive
Stamps, Ink and additional cardstock to decorate the basket
Tissue Paper or Easter Grass
Easter Eggs (or whatever you'd like to fill the basket with)
Steps:
1. Adhere the patterned paper strip on the center of your carstock strip for the basket handle.
2. Score your 4 3/4" x 7 3/4" piece of cardstock for the basket base at 1 1/2" on each side.
3. Cut the cardstock at the two scored lines on both sides of the long length of cardstock.
4. Add adhesive to the outside four corners of the cardstock.
5. Prefold your score lines and then assemble your basket.
6. Decorate the outisde of your box.
7. Punch a hole on each side of your basket and use a brad to attach the handle to both ends.
8. Finsh by placing tissue paper or grass in the basket and then add your goodies!!
