TDD Christmas Blog Hop

Hello Crafty Friends and

We are so excited to have you hopping along with us!

You should have arrived froAngela Bode's blog, if not please be sure to start at Michelle Neddo's blog.  You don't want to miss out on any of the beautiful inspiration!

--------------------

I am so excited to share my project with you today!
I had an absolute fun time creating this project with a bunch of my lovely Top Dog Dies!

I decided to begin with the my Tag Album Die!  As it was my goal to create a Christmas album! I used it to cut a few tags from chipboard.  It cut perfectly!

Here's the finished look:

I just love how it turned out!!

Aside from using the Tag Album Die I used the Madison Border Die for the border behind the Merry Christmas sentiment from Inspired By Stamping.

I also then used the Snowflake Trio Die Set to create this poinsettia!
Then I added some flourishes behind it using the Leafy Flourishes Die Set!

The next page features a holiday sentiment, along with some snowflakes from the Snowflake Trio Die Set.
I also used the Nameplates Die on this page!  I cut the die once to create the vary back "border" behind the red paper and then again for behind the sentiment.  As well as cutting one more time, but then cutting it down to just fit the sentiment on.

As I was creating this I thought it would be fun to create this as an album card/gift card holder!

So for the last page I altered the Treat Bag Die!  I cut out the entire bag, but then cut the handles off along with half of the bag.  I only used the sides and one front of the bag and glued and folded it up to hold a gift card!!  It was the perfect size!!  So exciting!!

The gift card pulls out perfectly!
What a fun idea!

CI + GJS Blog Hop

Welcome to the Genuinely Jane Stuios(GJS) and Creative Inspirations Paint(CIP) Blog Hop!

If you came from the talented Kimberly S.'s blog then you are in the right place. If not, and you would like to start at the beginning, please head over to the Creative Inspirations Paint Blog Here!

Before we get to the good stuff, let me give you a little info on each of these two awesome companies:

Genuinely Jane Studios manufactures small and medium size wood mini-albums for mixed media, scrapbooking and altered art in many shapes and sizes. All of the albums are hand made right on site in their Central Missouri facility. In addition to their albums, they also carry other art supplies in their online store.

Creative Inspirations Paint, our other company in this team up manufactures non-toxic, water based, translucent, shimmery paint that can be used for scrapbooking, card making, mixed media, altered art and more. They also carry embossing powders, glitter and UV resin. Using the paints is as simple as "Shake, Open and Play!" The paints are some of the most vivid you will find on the market and made in Washington State.

All of the designers from both teams have joined together to show you what can be created using the albums and paint! Be sure to check both the Genuinely Jane Studios and Creative Inspirations Paint websites to see all of the wonderful products!

------------------------

I have been so excited about this blog hop!

I have to be honest, I have never created an album like this before, so it was a first for me!

I LOVED it!!  I love the wonderful albums from GJS!  And as many of you already know, I love the shimmery paints from CI along with the other great products!!

GJS offers a bunch of wonderful wooden albums, I really liked The Square with Heart Cut Out album!

A close-up of the flowers on the front:
The stamps I used for my album are all from Inspired By Stamping!!  I added some CI Fairy Dust to the flowers, to give them a little shimmer!!

As you open the album, the first page has the picture of my kids and I!!  I love this photo, taken last fall.
I covered the photo with Mod Podge to protect it.  I also added a Metallic Inspiration Fuchsia from CI in each corner, so that the cover of the album wouldn't scratch the picture.

The next page was coated with CI Chocolate on the sides and back.  The front I covered with paper. I then added the embellishments!

The leaf die was covered with CI Green Olive and the flowers were painted with Fairy Dust!

I love these chipboard butterflies I have!  CI Paint covers them so nicely!
I used Aqua Marine!  Look at the shimmer!!

And the last page:
I added shimmer to each of the butterflies!

A look at the completed album:
As you can see I used CI Chocolate and Tutu Pink on every other wooden album page.  So the album is very shimmery!! :)

Here's a look at the back of the album, in which I used Tutu Pink to cover the entire wooden piece.  I then stamped directly onto the wood with some VersaMark and embossed with CI Deliquesce Metallic Copper!

I just love it!  I actually ended up giving it to my mom for Mother's Day!  She cried!

------------------------

Like what you see? Well, guess what? There are a couple of great prizes being given away at the end of this hop by both companies!

GJS - Gift Certificate for Wood Albums valued at $25!!
CIP - 5 Paints, 5 Glitters or Embossing Powder and 1 Bottle of the new Resinesence!
