D2BA Painters Tape Tutorial

Hello Stamping Friends!!

I'm on the Dare 2B Artzy Blog today!!

You know how occasionally you need a card quick?
And don't have one made up on hand?

I have a super fun tutorial to share with you today!

It's called "Painter's Tape Tutorial"!

Start by collecting a few supplies:
Stamp Set - Celebration Numbers
Painters Tape

Cardstock

Time to have some fun!
This tutorial is so simple and fun!

Start by ripping some pieces of painter's tape:
I ripped four pieces.

Then press a piece of tape on the ink color of your choice as if it is your "stamp"! (You can use the same ink color each time or use multiple colors)

Then place it on your cardstock, press and then peal off!!
How cool is that?!

Repeat this step to your liking!

I ended up doing the step three times!

Here's a look:
I then stamped the super cute birthday cake from the Celebration Numbers stamp set!!

Being that my ink colors are a little on the dark side, I took a black marker and filled in a few spots on the stamped numbers and cake image!  To make it look more like a silhouette, to stand out more!
I also stamped two of the sentiments from the set!!

Here's a look at my finished card:
I love how it turned out!  I created this birthday card for my sister, who recently turned 20!!
The colors are so fun and perfect together!!

Check out all D2BA's products here!

Thanks for stopping by!

Be sure to check back for more amazing inspiration!

Have a beautiful day!

Bright Birthday with IBS

Good Morning Stamping Friends!!

I am on the Inspired By Stamping Blog today, featuring a fun bright Birthday card!!

I started by collecting my supplies:
 Distress Inks
Blending Tool
Black Ink
Painter's Tape
Cardstock
Stamp Set(s) - I am using Happy Sentiments

I started by first masking the sides to create a white frame.

This is optional, you don't have to do this if you don't want to.  I just wanted a nice white crisp frame!
** TIP: Painter's tape can on occasion tare the paper, so I usually stick the tape to me pants or shirt I am wearing to make them a little less sticky, so it doesn't tare the paper! **

Also, maybe another tip, I have not tried this, but after creating this I seen a post where someone uses washi tape for masking.  I'll be trying that next!!

Now the fun, in my opinion really begins!!

Using another piece of painter's tape, run it across your card stock any way you wish.  I decided to go on a slight diagonal slant.
Add some distress ink!  I decided to do one color for each section.

When you like how it looks, peal the tape off carefully!

Then for my next color I will need to put two pieces of tape.  You can either put the tape right where your last color ends, or leave a little space.  I decided to leave a little space to leave a white line.

Once again add some ink, this time I went with a yellow!!
Isn't it fun so far?!  I think so!!

Repeat steps for each ink color you use till the bottom!

Now for my finished card:
I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!
So fun and bright!!

As I mentioned in my supply list above I used the fun Happy Sentiments stamp set for my sentiment.
And finished the card off by adding some enamel dots!!

Counting my Blessings with Honey Bee Scraps

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's my day once again to post on the Honey Bee Scraps Blog!!

This week's "Wordy Wednesday" Sentiment is....counting my blessings!

I started out knowing that I wanted to use the beautiful floral image from the Not Too Shabby stamp set!!

I ended up deciding to use it to create a card, so my next step was deciding what sentiment I wanted to use!

Creating a "thank you" card came to mind with the beautiful flowers.
So the "counting my blessings" sentiment was the perfect stamp to use, which is part of the Oh, Snap set!!

Close-up:
I used the super fun Painter's Tape Technique for the background behind the beautiful floral image!!
Happy Stamping!!

Hello Crafty Friends!!

Such a fun beautiful card!!
Sure to brighten someone's day!!

The "just a note" sentiment is also part of the wish2make set.
The embossing on each side of the main image was created with the Daisy Chain #3 embossing folder from the new Flowers/Dots 3 Pack Embossing Folders set!!

Fav Technique with IBS

Good Morning Stamping Friends!!

I am on the Inspired By Stamping Blog today, featuring two cards using one of my favorite techniques!

I featured the Painter's Tape Technique on the blog awhile back, and it is one I really enjoy doing!

It's a fun technique if you need to create a quick card and don't have time to color in an image.
I decided to us the Flower of the Month: Pansy set!

A nice image to allow the technique to show through the flowers!

So pretty, I love how it turned out!
IBS_KSand_April28.a2
The Happy Birthday is also part of the Flower of the Month: Pansy set!

I encourage you to try out this technique, it is super fun and easy!!

Close-up of the Pansies:

Isn't it fun?! I sure think so!

--------------

Next up, I created a masculine card as well:
This time, for this card I used the Pirates set!!

This ship is more of a silhouette image, but the technique still gives and awesome look, in my opinion!
IBS_KSand_April28.2a
A fun masculine card!

Hope you have been inspired to try out this technique, if you haven't already!!
