Meow are you?

Happy Sunday Crafty Friends!!

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Today is my day to post on the Joy's Life DT Blog!

This week we are featuring any kind of project we wish!

Ever since getting the Punny Animals set, I visioned creating a card for a friend using the "Meow are you" sentiment, as I have two lovely girlfriends who love cats!

So today is the day, I have finally used it!

And to make it even more fun, I decided to make a cat shaped card!!

Isn't she adorable?!

I used my Cricut Create a Critter cart!

Cricut Squirrel

Hello Crafty Friends!!

I have an adorable card to share with you today!  It's my day to post for Joy's Life Design Team!

This week we are focusing on "Masculine Cards"!

With Father's Day around the corner, I decided to create a card for the kids to give dad!

He likes squirrels!  So my little guy helped me create the squirrel from the Create A Critter cart!
I also decided to create a shaped card!  Something a little different and fun!

The "I'm nuts about you" from the That Tastes Punny set is such a perfect fit with this cute critter!!

I also thought it would be fun to cut out the acorn from the cart to add to the squirrels hands!

I used the masking technique to stamp portions of the sentiment at a time, so I could create the three lines of text, rather then just the one line straight row.

Have a wonderful day!!

Kid Valentine's

I was hoping to get this posted last night, but I found myself snuggling with the kids all night!

My little guy, who I think is following my footsteps, decided he didn't like the idea of buying his Valentine's, he wanted to make them on his own!!

Here they are:
I helped him cut out all the critters and stamp the sentiment, but he enjoyed adding the hearts and bling!

The critters are from the Create a Critter cart!  One of my fav. Cricut cards!!

They turned out so cute and most importantly he was so excited to give them to his friends!!

A close-up of one of them:
I used my favorite stamp set from My Thoughts Exactly for this one, along with a few of the other ones!!  The set is called Lovey Puns Animal

Have a wonderful day!

---------------------------

I was asked to create a card featuring the new Birthday Greetings set!  I just love this new set.

I seem to always have trouble with sentiments for the inside of my cards, well I no longer have to worry!!  This set has some wonderful sentiments!!

First off, I used "The more candles the bigger the wish" sentiment for the front of my card from the Birthday Greeting set.

I also used the Little Phrases set to create the Happy Birthday, celebrate, wishes row of sentiments!

Then for the inside I used another sentiment from the Birthday Greeting set:
Here's wishing you all the special things in life
That bring you happiness.
Have a Lovely Day!

The Happy birthday is again from the Little Phrases set.

Here's a look at the entire Birthday Greeting set:

You're Udder-ly Amazing
I just love this new set from MTE called "Lovey Puns Animal", the sentiments are so fun to put together!  And grouped with these adorable animals I created using Create a Critter they're perfect!!  I'll be using this set a lot!

I was so proud of myself, using Design Studio I took off the back spot on the cow and put a heart instead!!

Happy Birthday....with a cherry on top! (Just Desserts)

Team B's first challenge for round two with Creative Inspiration Paints is today! I'm so excited to be able to still be a part of the team. These paints are truely amazing and so much fun to work with! The things you can do with these paints are endless. Just let your creative juices flow! This round we have some really cool challenges in store, so make sure to check out the blog every Thursday! Also check out the other creative posts for ideas on uses for the paints.

Our challenge is "Just Desserts....be inspired by your favorite treat". I'm a sucker for ice cream, cake and cupcakes....yummy!!

Check out the CI blog to see all the great projects for this week!

Along with our CI Paint challenge, I also challenged myself to create the main image using my cricut. My poor "baby" hasn't had as much attention as it deserves. When I make cards, I usually always grab my stamps or digital images. I rarely ever use my cricut to make cards. I mainly use it for my layouts, which I haven't had much time to make as I have been working so much this summer. Usually when I am off in fall and winter is when I make all my layouts.

I just recently got Home Decor and Sweet Treat carts, as I found them to be very helpful to use for this card.

For my "cupcake" card, I used Home Decor. I am so happy with how the cupcake turned out. I also wanted to use all scraps if possible, as that pile has stacked up a lot!

I just love how the cherry turned out!! I put a bunch of diamond glaze on the cherry to give it a glossy and raised look. While the glaze was still wet, I also used my water brush to but some garnet paint in the glaze! It looks so real, I could eat it!! I love cherries!!

First I cut the image out at 3". I took it out of my cricut and then first painted the top, bottom and cherry with CI Paints. I ued Garnet, Tutu Pink and Autumn Wheat. Then I took off the pieces and assembled the cut.

Details:
Card Size: 5" x 7"
CI Paints: Garnet, Tutu Pink, Autumn Wheat
Cricut Cart: Home Decor
Paper: Random scraps
Stamp: "Happy Birthday" SU set It's Your Birthday
Ink: SU Chocolate
Misc.: Shear Ribbon, Diamond Glaze

Have a great Thursday!
