Tulips

I just got this new stamp from Northwoods Stamp Co., I love it! Tulips are one of my favorite spring flowers!

Look at all this shimmer!! I am in love with Creative Inspiration Paints! I used the colors Sage, Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Fairy Dust and Tutu Pink. Fairy Dust is by far one of my favorites as you can use it to go over any color you'd like to add some shimmer!

I hope to make some more this weekend, I was very happy with how this card turned out!

Designed 2 Delight

Another wonderful freebie from Faith at Designed 2 Delight! This past week's image is an adorable bear holding a bunch of flowers entitled "...A Bunch". So I made it into a Thank-You card. I quickly put this card together tonight. I haven't had much of a chance to be in my room the past week with being back to work and the weather being so amazing here! The little guy and I have been spending a lot of time outside!!

Sketch Challenge for CI Paints

Good morning! This week for Creative Inspiration Paints we were given a sketch to create a card! I am really happy with my results, I did stay pretty close to the sketch, but really was enjoying playing with the paints! I LOVE THEM!!

Check the CI Paints blog for all the other wonderful creations!

Sketch:

My Card:

The top left flower is just a regular Prima Fleure not painted with CI paints next to ones I painted with "Fairy Dust".

I also used this paint brush I found in with my painting supplies to paint the edges of the paper. I love the result, it actually looks as though the shimmer was right in with the ink!

I also used the brush to paint on "Chocolate" paint on the pieces of paper I used to cut the "Doily Lace" punch with. So the strips are also shimmery!

CI Paint: Chocolate, Fairy Dust
Stamps: "Priceless" SU Stamp Set for the flourishes
Ink: ColorBox Fluid Chalk "Chestnut Brown"
Paper: K&Company "Roam"
Misc: Prima Fleures "Nursery Tales Collection", SH Rhinestone Brads "Fire Circle" Pumpkin, Martha Stewart Punch "Doily Lace

My mission this year is to get a stock pile of cards, so I have been trying to make a few cards at once. So I have a few others I also created with this sketch.
I just love all the shimmer!! Ithink it adds so much to the flowers, rather than them being just plain!

"Spring Peep" from Designed 2 Delight

The first Tuesday of the month at Designed 2 Delight means a free digital image!! You play this week, you get next weeks free and so on! Faith has some really cute images! Check her blog out and play along! It's so much fun!

This week's image is called "Spring Peep". When I saw this image I was so excited to use it! It actually reminded me a lot of myself, as when I was in college I made a lot of screen prints using a flower very similar to this one and designing it differently each time!

I used CI Paints Fairy Dust and TuTu Pink to cover over the paper flowers and give them some lovely shimmer!!

Simple, but Fun Birthday Card

Happy Saturday Everyone!! The weather here has been wonderful! I am so excited to get out in my flower beds soon! I've been looking at different challenge blogs the last few days and thought it would be fun to try and do a few here and there to give a little motivation and some ideas! So this is one of my first submissions for a challenge!

A birthday card for one of my sister to give a friend, that is very bright (teenages love bright colors), simple and I think fun! I used the swiss dots and dvine swirl cuttelbug embossing folders. Paper is just carstock I have lying around, some gems and black shear ribbon! (I love bling!!) The birthday stamp is from Stamping Up.

1st Creative Inspirations Paints Challenge

WOW...Do I love using these paints! The possibilities of what you can use them for is almost endless! Our first Creative Inspirations Paint challenge was a color challenge. We were to use yellow, green and lavender.

Make sure to check out the CI Paints blog to see all the other great creations!

Here is a close-up of one of the butterflies! Look at all that shimmer! :)

I took the butterfly stamp and stamped it in the ink pad then used a fine paint brush to brush CI Fairy Dust paint on the stamp also. I then stamped the image on white cardstock.

CI Paints: Fairy Dust

Stamps: "Priceless" SU stamp set

Ink: SU Lavender Lace, Dew Drop Ivy, Stampabilities Yellow

Paper: Sage Green Cardstock, White Cardstock

Misc: Shear Lavender Ribbon from Hobby Lobby

Others I made:
I used all the same supplies to make this card the only difference being I used the CI paints to make the paper shimmer! So instead of buying shimmer paper you can also make your own with these paints! Like I said, the uses of these paints is endless!!

I stamped this image with black pigment ink and then embossed it with black embossing powder. I used an aqua pen to color in the image with the CI Paints. I just love all the shimmer!

CI Paints: Sage, Canary, Amethyst

Stamp: "Lily" Northwoods Rubber Stamps, Inc., "Thinking of You" from SU set (not sure which one as I picked this up from a rummage sale)

Paper: Sage Green Cardstock, White Cardstock, Purple from "Purple Passion" Value Pack from HL, Background piece from "Flower Shower" Spring Matstack

Ink: Black Pigment Ink, Dew Drop VersaMagic Purple Hydrangea

Misc: Yellow Shear Ribbon from HL, EK Success Punch "Dotted Wave"
