Cute Packages with IBS

It's my turn to do the Whoo Hoo Wednesday Tutorial at Inspired By Stamping!!

I decided to create some cut little packages!

Perfect for little gifts for any holiday!

These cute little packages hold a mini hand sanitizer.
(Which I usually get from Bath & Body Works)

1.       Cut two pieces of cardstock – one at 3” x 10”
and one at 6” x 1 ½”.
As seen in the picture, I cut a few, to make more than one package at once.

2.       Score the large piece at 1”, 2” 5 ½” and 6 ½” along the long side.

3.       Score the small piece along the long side at ½”, 1 ½”, 4 ½”
and 5 ½”.  Turn it and score along the short side at ¼” and
1 ¼”.  Fold pieces at creased lines.

4.       Trim off each corner tab as shown in picture below

5.       Using the second smallest oval die from the Spellbinders Classic
Ovals Large set, place die in center of large rectangle.
The die will go over the creased lines slightly. (Picture below)
*You can otherwise use a punch if you’d like.

After you run it through:

6.       Fold the large piece along creased lines to form the holder.

7.       Apply sticky tape on the top, bottom and side tabs.

8.       Peel off the tape covering on the bottom tab and attach to the
inside top of bottom lip of the holder.

9.       Fold in the side tabs and tape them down to the bottom
sides of the holder.

10.   Remove the last piece of the tape covering and
adhere to the back of the holder.

11.   Lastly…..Embellish!!

12.   After you are finished embellishing, add some
Velcro inside on the bottom to help hold the package shut.

Here is a look at a few of the ones I created:

As you can see the middle one, is slightly smaller, but I thought the new December 25th Labels worked nicer with the larger package!
(But I do have some instructions for the smaller one here, that I created last year.)

An inside look at one of them...
Don't be afraid to dress the inside up with some pretty patterned papers and embellishments!

Close-up views:
The December 25th Labels were so fun to use for these cute packages!!

Added a little color to this one along with some snow!

I used the Festive Frames and Elegant Christmas Sentiments for this one!  It looks speckled because I used a glitter spray to add gold sparkle!

I hope you've enjoyed this fun project, they
are so fun and simple to make!!

Have a wonderful day!

MTE Birthday

Hello to all my crafty friends!!
My niece recently turned 10 and I was really stumped on what kind of card to make her! So I did a little searching for ideas around blogland and Pinterest!

I ended up finding a cute idea on Pinterest and kind of went off of it!
I really like how it turned out, so fun!

For the large Happy Birthday sentiment I used the Big Thoughts set from My Thoughts Exactly!!!  Such a great set!

Have a great day!

Shalom Wildlife

We recently took the kids to this fun Wildlife Sanctuary!

We had such a wonderful day together as a family!!
It was so much fun to see some of the "wildlife" so up close and personal!  The kids were first greeted by a bambi, which they thought was so cool!!

They also got to pet an adorable raccoon!

Have a great day!!

IBSIC #36 Sketch

This week there's a wonderful sketch to find inspiration from!

I used the new Festive Frames set from Inspired By Stamping to create this fun holiday card!

I used my Make The Cut program to create this ornament; using an oval, triangle and square!!!

Stamped the festive frame and then there is no complete ornament without glitter!!  So I added some of my favorite Fairy Dust glitter!

Thank You with SS

Hello crafty friends!

Make sure to join us on the Sweet Stamps blog, we'd love to see what you create with our challenge in mind! You have a chance at winning $20 to purchase some "sweet" things of your own!!

This week's Sweet Stamps Challenge is:

Thank You

With Thanksgiving a few days away, what a perfect challenge to have!

I always find it important to give friends and family thank you cards, even if it is just for something little they did.  I am so thankful for all the wonderful people in my life...even all my crafty friends I only know through the web! :)  I appreciate all your love and support!

With that, here is the center step card I created:
Just LOVE the new Center Step Die SS is carrying!!

I also really like the new Queen Anne's Wildflowers Silhouette!
For this card I first used a light pink ink to stamp the image on the left, then used VersaMark to stamp it again a little lower to the right and then embossed with some Deliquesce Super Sparkle Pink from Creative Inspirations!  I then used CI Paint Fairy Dust to add some shimmer to the light pink stamped silhouette!

I used TuTu Pink to make all the die cut flowers shimmer!!

This is also a nice time to just send a HUGE THANK YOU to Stacey, owner of SweetStamps.com, and her mom Sandy!  Both are such lovely and sweet ladies!
I was able to meet both of them at the Madison stamp show this past weekend!  What an honor!

With Sympathy

Recently, I needed to create two sympathy cards. :(

Don't care for creating these type of cards.

But I quickly made these two:
The beautiful sentiment is from Inspired By Stamping's set All Year Wishes II.  I just LOVE this set! And the beautiful silhouette of  flowers is from Sweet Stamps. The stamp is called Queen Anne's Wildflowers, which was released last month.

For this card I used the new Graceful Hydrangea stamp from Inspired By Stamping!!  Love this floral stamp!!  And again the sentiment is from the All Year Wishes II set.

Have a sweet day!

Good Luck

For the last couple weekends, along with this weekend I have been a widow!
My husband loves hunting!

Most of you know and if you don't, this weekend is opening weekend of gun hunting, so once again my husband is gone!

Which leaves me to spend tons of quality time with the kiddos and my lovely friends/family!

Getting together tonight with some girlfriends, the kids will be sure to entertain them! ;)  And tomorrow us girls are headed to Madison for a Stamping Show!

I am so excited!!

--------------------------

Anyway, I created a card to stick into my husband's bag....

He hasn't had any luck yet this season getting that "monster" buck, so I thought it would be fun to create a "Good Luck" card for him using Raisin Boat's stamp set Open Season, my latest stamp rental from them!!

And another quick one I created for Father's Day for one of our dad's!

Have a great weekend!!
