and photo/colors to find inspiration from....

-----------------

I decided for this challenge to play along with both the colors and sketch!!

For my card today I decided to use the Blast Off stamp set!  Perfect for a little boy's card!!  I also used the Blast Off Die Set to die cut my image!
I used the Stitch Ovals Die Set to create the oval layer and then stamped some of the stars from the Blast Off stamp set, as well as splatter some yellow ink to the shape.

I finished the card up by adding some black gumdrops from the Cupid Gumdrops set!  I just love YNS's gumdrops!!!!

Bright Birthday with IBS

Good Morning Stamping Friends!!

I am on the Inspired By Stamping Blog today, featuring a fun bright Birthday card!!

I started by collecting my supplies:
 Distress Inks
Blending Tool
Black Ink
Painter's Tape
Cardstock
Stamp Set(s) - I am using Happy Sentiments

I started by first masking the sides to create a white frame.

This is optional, you don't have to do this if you don't want to.  I just wanted a nice white crisp frame!
** TIP: Painter's tape can on occasion tare the paper, so I usually stick the tape to me pants or shirt I am wearing to make them a little less sticky, so it doesn't tare the paper! **

Also, maybe another tip, I have not tried this, but after creating this I seen a post where someone uses washi tape for masking.  I'll be trying that next!!

Now the fun, in my opinion really begins!!

Using another piece of painter's tape, run it across your card stock any way you wish.  I decided to go on a slight diagonal slant.
Add some distress ink!  I decided to do one color for each section.

When you like how it looks, peal the tape off carefully!

Then for my next color I will need to put two pieces of tape.  You can either put the tape right where your last color ends, or leave a little space.  I decided to leave a little space to leave a white line.

Once again add some ink, this time I went with a yellow!!
Isn't it fun so far?!  I think so!!

Repeat steps for each ink color you use till the bottom!

Now for my finished card:
I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!
So fun and bright!!

As I mentioned in my supply list above I used the fun Happy Sentiments stamp set for my sentiment.
And finished the card off by adding some enamel dots!!

Blessing with HBS

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's my day once again to post on the Honey Bee Stamps Blog!!

I'm so excited to share this post, why you wonder?

Because I get to give you a sneak peek of two new stamps, releasing soon!! :)

I started off with some of the new sets, by creating a layout of my son and I!

I started off by grabbing some papers and the photo I wanted to use!
As well as the new Bless Your Heart and Camera Love stamp sets!!
(Hidden under my photo!!)
Can't sure the entire stamp sets yet!

Then decided to stamp the large "blessing" sentiment, so that I could base the rest of my layout off it.
The sentiment is actually two stamps!  The word "bless" and then "ing"!

I then followed it up by adding a few more of the smaller sentiments from the set, to create this larger sentiment!!
So as you can already see, the new Bless Your Heart stamp set is VERY versatile!

The stamped hearts are from the Camera Love stamp set!!

Here is a picture of the entire layout:
 I love this sweet picture!!

I also added the "more than you know" sentiment also from the Bless Your Heart stamp set!!

I recently got this new border punch and wanted to put it to use on this layout!
After punching the border and adhering the layers to my layout, I thought it would be super fun to stamp one of the tiny hearts from the Camera Love stamp set in the larger holes!

I really think it adds a nice touch!!

So in LOVE with this layout!!

"Bee" sure to check out all the lovely products Honey Bee Stamps has to offer!
Happy Stamping!!

Spring Is In The Air

Hello Crafty Friends!!

Today I am featuring the new Gardening Tools Set from Frantic Stamper!!  Being that a LOVE gardening I was pretty excited to get this die set.

Here's a photo of my in process work on creating this card:
I essentially die cut the gardening tools three times, each time on a different color of cardstock.  (Grey, Brown, Green)

I did nothing to the grey layer, but altered the other two colors slightly!

Here's a look:
I only cut the actual tool part off of the brown die cut pieces.  And for the green die cut pieces, I had to cut a little off the bottom and some of the top, so I would just have the portion you would hold.

Here's a look at the tools assembled.
Super fun, don't you think?!?!
I sure think so!!

Here's my completed card:
I'm in love with how it turned out!!
A definite happy dance moment!!

A close-up:
The "Spring is in the Air" sentiment is part of the Cherry Blossoms stamp set from Inspired By Stamping!!

I think the added butterfly embellishment and pearls add the perfect touch!

I can't wait to get my gardening tools out of storage and dig in the dirt for the season!!

Have a lovely day!
