Anything Goes with Glitter Kids Challenge

Morning Friends!

My daughter is guest designing on my blog again today!!

Here is my daughter's last card shecreated for the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes with Glitter Kids Challenge, which she really took the glitter challenge seriously!! LOL!

She decided to just use glitter!!
She really enjoyed creating this card, I just had to giggle to myself!!
She didn't want to add any sentiment to it, because she just wanted it to "sparkle"!

Have a nice day!

Guest Designers

Hello Stamping Friends!

Today I have some GUEST DESIGNERS on my blog!!

My kids, especially my daughter, was super excited when I found the Simon Says Stamp Summer Vacation: Kids Challenge!!

The theme is Anything Goes with Glitter!

My daughter, Ava age 6, LOVES glitter!  So she was excited to create some cards!

She's most excited to have a chance to win some crafting goodies of here own!!

Here is the first card she created:
How fun!
She used her two favorite colors....Pink and Purple!!!

Next up she created a brightly colored card with this cute Peacock!!

As my daughter was creating her cards, her brother, Sawyer age 8, came in the room and was wondering what she was up to.  So very excitedly she explained!

So he as well decided to create a card for a chance for him and his sister to win some crafting supplies!
He first stamped a rose image, colored it in, but then decided to add the sticker daisy and add glitter to his stem,  He is so proud of his card!!

It was so much fun watching them create some of their own cards!!  And for a chage I stepped back and wouldn't help them at all, so it was really fun to watch to see what they came up with on their own!

What a fun challenge for kids to be able to join in the fun crafting community!  Thanks Simon Says Stamp!!

Have a lovely day!

Thinking of You

Hello Crafty Friends!!

I have a fun card to share with you today using some awesome products from The Stamps of Life!!

I used the newly released ONLY Stitched Square Dies for my card!!
These dies do NOT cut out squares, rather they just leave the square stitching pattern!!  How cool!!

I played around with them a little bit and found that using a few of the different sizes and randomly die cutting them from my white card base left a fun design!!

I stamped the Thinking of You from the phrases2say stamp set and the sweet little hearts from the minis4circles stamp set!!

So super sweet to send someone to let them know you are thinking of them!!

TSOL Products Used
Stamps:  phrases2say, minis4circles
 Dies: ONLY Stitched Squares
 Ink: Midnight, Cranberry
 Paper: Midnight
Misc.: Wood Hearts, Strawberry and White Twine

YNS August Feature Day

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's Feature Day at Your Next Stamp!!

Feature Day Theme Is....
For the Kids

What a fun theme!!  I absolutely love creating things for my kids and thankfully they absolutely love it when I do!!

So with them in mind I created fun little packages for them to give them just because!!

I started by die cutting the candy topper in orange cardstock from the Treat Topper Die Set!!  I then die cut the stitched rectangle label from the set on white card stock!

I love the "Smile and have a fun day!" sentiment, which is part of the School Notes stamp set!  So I decided to first stamp the sentiment on the stitched rectangle!!
I thought it would be fun to add some fun smiley faces!

So I started off by stamping the larger smiley face in red on the label, which is from the Create a Critter stamp set!  The other two smiley faces are from the School Notes stamp set!
This cute little package is sure to put a smile on my kiddos faces!!

I finished it off by adding the star button and from Green Solid Divine Twine!

D2BA and CCB Product Match-Up

Hello Stamping Friends!!

Dare 2B Artzy Blog and Canvas Corp Brands has teamed up this week to showcase the twp companies products together!!  Today is my day to showcase my projects!

I had so much fun with the two companies products together!!

-------------------------------

I started off by creating this beautiful canvas:

I started by using a Stretched Natural Canvas - 6x6!!
I layed a 6x6 stencil on the top and masked the top and bottom portions with painter's tape, as you can see below:
I used some metallic texture paste and palette  knife to trsfer the fun design to the canvas!

Lifting the stencil off....so exciting!!
It turned out perfect, in my opinion!!  One of those happy dance moments!!

I added a Burlap Flower - Hot Pink!
I also added a tag, with the "Life is Beautiful" sentiment stamped from the Big Bloom stamp set, as well as some fun flowers stamped in Paradise ink, from the Big Bloom stamp set as well!

As I was working with the flower for the canvas, I thought how cool the flower would be for a hair clip for my daughter's hair as she absolutely loves putting flowers in her hair!

So I did just that and created a pretty card to go with them!

Here is my finished flowers and card:

I started by creating the hair pieces:
 I grabbed a few supplies!

I first started with the Burlap Flower - Purple!
I sprayed it first with some pretty Glimmer Mist!  Then sprayed it with some MOD Podge, which helps stiffen it up a little bit!  Helps also to stop the flower from fraying too much more!

I then used my glue gun to add the hair clip and bling!!

My finished flower:
So pretty!!!

I did the same steps with a Burlap Flower - Teal as well!!

I ended up deciding to use the Teal flower to add to my card and just giving the purple flower on the side.  I thought it would be super fun to adhere the flower to my card!  To make a beautiful statment to the card, but then be able to remove it to use as a hair piece!!
I just LOVE this idea!

Going back a few steps, before I added the flower, I first started working on my card design.  Which I decided to use a piece of fun Black & White Chevron paper as my main layer.  As I was looking at by stamps from D2BA I thought it would be fun to use the polka dot accent from the Bright Birthday stamp set to create the polka dots on the white chevron sections!! It's so fun to alter pattern paper with stamps! I used the Paradise and Wild Orchid inks from D2BA!
I then used some Glimmer Mist to add the splatter to the paper!!

I also ended up using a piece of Wild Orchid paper from D2BA behind the flower!!
I stamped the smile sentiment from the Butterfly Tangle stamp set on a Tag and added it behind the flower!

How fun!!!
My daughter absolutely loved the flowers for her hair!

YNS August Designer Showcase

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's Designer Showcase week at Your Next Stamp!!
So be sure to visit the YNS Blog every day to see all the fabulous projects!!

Our theme this week is:
Birthday Project

How appropriate, since we are celebrating YNS's 7th Birthday this month!!!

I started my project by stamping the Lots of Dots Edge Stamp multiple times on two pieces of pink card stock in pink ink!

I then die cut the adorable Cute Little Shopping Bag from each of the stamped pink cardstock!  And assembled the gift bag!
I then also die cut the scallop cirlce, which is also from the Cute Little Shopping Bag die set,  from a light pink cardstock.

I stamped the "Happy Birthday" from the Wheelie Fun stamp set!  And my main mission for this project was to show off the awesome Mini Letters and Numbers stamp set!  I love stamp sets like this as you can personailze anything with them!  So I stamped my daughter's name Ava under the birthday sentiment!

I think is it makes the gift bag even more personal!!  As I was creating this I also thought, how could it would be to make these for gift favors as well!!!

I then die the the banner from the Cool Tag Three Die Set two times on some fun sparkly purple paper!  So that I could position it behind the scallop sentiment tag!

I then finished off the packaging by tying some Purple Solid Divine Twine to close up the bag!  And most importantly adding some lovely Grape Punch Glittered Gumdrops!!

So fun!!

Happy Summer with D2BA

Hello Stamping Friends!!

I'm on the Dare 2B Artzy Blog today!!

Today I am featuring the awesome new Flip Flops stamp set!
Many times when stamping I think the the images need to be stamped in black in and then colored in!

But occasionally remind myself that it's not true!!!

When I first got the Flip Flops stamp set I was ready to stamp the flip flop image in black and start coloring, as seen below:
But as I was ready to color, I started thinking these flip flops would be so fun stamped in color!

So I did exactly that:
D2BA has some super fun ink colors!!
I used Paradise, Wild Orchid, Bright Pumpkin, Margarita Lime and Sunset Yellow!!

Here is my finished card:
I used a piece of Wild Orchid paper behind my sentiment layer and fun stamped flip flop layer!

How fun and bright!!
