Add Some Glitz

Happy Monday Crafty Friends!

I have a simple little tutorial today to share with you with a holiday card I created yesterday while the kids and hubby watched the Packers game!

I recently got the Snowflake Trio Die Set from Top Dog Dies!
I LOVE snowflakes!
So I was SUPER excited about this die set!

I decided to use the largest snowflake from the set.
Adding a little "glitz" to the die cut snowflake is so fun and simple!
Plus it just adds a nice touch of class!

I started by using the die to cut out two of the large snowflakes from a white piece of cardstock.

Then add glue (I use Scrap Happy Sheer Glue from the Rubber Cafe) to the parts of the snowflake you would like to add some glitter to!
As you can see in the this photo, I decided to just do the edges of this snowflake.  One section I already added glitter to and the other two just show the added glue.

Once you have glue added to all the areas you would like to add glitter....next add the glitter!!
Messy, but oh so fun!!

The finished snowflake:
Goes from a plain white snowflake to fun and glitzy!

My finished card:
The pretty right edge was created using the beautiful Madison Border Die!

I can't wait for our first snow fall!
The frame and center were created using the Nameplates Die!  So many fun possibilities with this set!

LOVE the added glitter on the snowflake!!
As you can see on the top snowflake I added a few more areas of glitter, then just around the edges.
