Hello Sweet Stamping Friends!

I'm joining in the post today on the My Creative Time Blog!

Today's theme is...
Make It In Minutes

My kids are always really good at volunteering to bring in treats for class parties!!

My daughter wanted to bring in cupcakes for her Valentine's Day Party.

We thought it would be fun to quickly dress each one up; here's a look at 3 of them:

We die cut a bunch of labels from black cardsotck using the die from the Chalkboard Valentines stamp/die set! I used a white gel pen to make the stitching stand out more along the edge!!

I then stamped the 'Be My Valentine!' sentiment and tiny heart on each label from the Love Is In the Air stamp set with VersaMark Ink and embossed with white embossing powder!  Used my white chalk, to give it the chalkboard feel!! (I haven't done this in a long time!!)

I added some Nuvo drops to each label to add a little color!

I then cut some paper straws in half that I had in my stash to adhere each label to and stuck them in the cupcakes!!

They add the perfect little touch!!!  And didn't take long to make at all!! Which is the best part!!

Simple, yet I think so elegant!!

I had so much fun creating this ATC, I actually wish I wouldn't have been so sick lately, I would have liked to create a bunch more!!

I used the lovely new Chalkboard Flowers set!!  I've been so excited to try the Chalkboard Technique with this set!!

Love how it turned out!!

The sentiment is from the new Pretty Frames and Silhouettes set!

Finished it off using some rhinestones and die cut butterflies! 

Added a little shimmer to the butterflies, using some lovely Creative Inspirations Paint!

Technique Challenge at Sweet Stamps is:

Chalkboard Technique

I've done this technique once before and really enjoyed it!

My card:

I thought the Floral Corner Wrap stamp would be fun to use for this technique!

I die cut a few flowers and flourishes in white cardstock and then used colored chalk to add a little color to them.

I really like how this card turned out!

SS carries so many lovely frames that would work so well with this technique!

IBS Chalkboard Technique

Each month on the 20th Inspired By Stamping, will be having a blog hop featuring a different technique, idea or color combination!!

It's a great way to create something with your new stamps from our latest release!!

I've used the new Beautiful Iris set for my card! 

I just LOVE flowers!  This Iris stamp is so beautiful and the sentiments in the set are all perfect as well!  Just love the font used!!

I've never used this technique before, so this was a first for me!  I really enjoyed trying it out!

I decided to stamp the image and then use different colored chalks to color it, to give it that chalkboard look.  

The top and bottom border are from the set Delicate Doilies II! 

Just a close-up of the border and sentiment.

The iris:

I sure can't wait to see my Iris's coming up this spring!!

I also added some White Seam Binding!
