Graduation

My cousins graduation party was this past Sunday, so I needed to make her a card. On the same lines as the one I made my brother-in-law. I really like how it turned out.

And of course I couldn't make a card without using some of my CI Paints!! I used a water brush to go over some of the stamped imaged to give it a little shimmer!!

"Tweet Friend"

This weeks digital stamp from Faith at Designed 2 Delight was a set called "Tweet Friend". We recieved this cut digital bird image along with 4 sentiments. I decided to use the "Tweet Friend" as I have a friend I am thinking about sending this to and used the sentiment "A true friend is someone who knows the song in yout heart and can sing in back to you when you have forgotten the words" for the inside!

Can't wait to see her next image we get to "play" with!!

CI Paints
~ Just look at that shimmer!!!

That's all for tonight. Been working a lot of hours this week to get caught back up, we've been getting a lot of rain so I have fallen a little behind!

Creative Inspirations Paints Color Challenge

Wow, I can't believe we're on our 6th Challenge with CI Paints!! This is the final one for this round! I have had so much fun working with these paints!! They are by far one of my most favorite scrapping supplies!! They are, in my opinion, a MUST have!!

This time around we were given a color challenge. We were to use "beach-y colors" (blues, sand, yellows, etc.) Going into this one I had a neat father's day card idea, but it don't come out they way I really was imagining it to, so I went back to the drawing board and came up with this idea.

Make sure to check the CI Blog out to see all the other great creations!!

I decided I was going to try something with my Cricut for a card! I haven't really used my Cricut in awhile, so that was also my goal with this card. I used my new cart Home Decor to make this card! I just love this butterfly!

I used my waterbrush to paint on the paints on my embossed piece of paper. I first sent the paper through my Cuttlebug then spent some time and painted "Fairy Dust" on the embossed part. The entire time I was doing this I was thinking of all the different card ideas I could do by using this technique.

View of the card with the butterfly being 3-D and also the blue swirl! I didn't completely glue down the blue swirl so that it would also stick up a little bit.

Look at all the BEAUTIFUL shimmer!!! Ohhh La La! :)

Size: 5" x 7"

CI Paints: Royal Blue, Fairy Dust, Sunshine

It's Clearly Sparkling

Hey everyone! So sorry it's been awhile, things here have been so crazy. I have been working 55+ hours a week, plus taking care of things around the house! Sure can't wait till fall to have some down time and only have to think about scrapping!

Another great challenge from Creative Inspirations Paints this week entitled "It's Clearly Sparkling". We were to use CI Paints on acetate or acrylic. I must admit that I have never used either of them before, so this was a first!

Check the blog out for all the other great creations!

Was pretty upset that my camera decided to die on me over the weekend! So I had to use an old one that I borrowed from my sister, so the pics aren't the greatest, I'm really sorry.

With Father's Day right around the corner, I decided to make a card for my hubby.

I don't have a deep cutting blad for my Cricut, which I think may have helped, but I think it worked good enough. I cut the acetate down to just about the size I need and used the Cricut cart "Cuttin' Up" to cut DAD out of the acetate. It didn't go all the way through, so I used the combination of scissors and an exacto knife to cut it all the way through.
I used the sponge daubers to dab the paint on the acetate. I also let the little guy dip his fingers in the paint and then dab it on the acetate, he thought it was so fun to help out!! :) Considering it is a card for daddy I though it would be fun to have him help!

Shimmer!! I just love the effect these paints give! The work on just about everything possible. What is really great is the fact that they dry so quickly!!

I think the paints shimmer even more when used on the acetate! Not only is the acetate itself shine, but with the shimmery paints on it I think it shimmer's even more! I also used the paints on the brads so that they would match!

I used CI Paints; Sage, Evergreen, Royal Blue, Sapphire and Turquoise.

Her is my little helper sound asleep on my chair! He ended up falling asleep behind me as I was putting the card together!! It was so cute, just before he fell asleep, I said "This is going to be daddy's card we're going to give him for Father's Day" and Sawyer replied saying, "Oh Pretty!"
