Sweet Stamps Olden Days

Sweet Stamps Challenge #13:

Olden Days

Here's my creation:
I used "Margery" for this card, a stamp from Sweet Stamps in the Antique/Old Fashioned category.

I used a chipboard accent by the flowers and painted it with Creative Inspirations Paint "Chocolate".

Since the paints are translucent, the darkness of the chipboard can be seen through, not giving it's true color.  A good way to get around this is by use white gesso and then painting the piece.  Another idea I got the other day was to first use a ink pad near to the same color of the paint and then use the paint.  Which turned out good as well, if you don't have gesso on had.  It probably helped that I was using a dark color, not sure if some of the lighter colors would work this way.
