Bearing Gifts

"Bearing Gifts" a cute new digital image from Faith at Designed 2 Delight.  It's available in her shop along with many other cute images.

The original image only has one balloon attached to the wagon handle, but my little guy is going to be 3, so I thought it would be cool to add a few more balloons.

I used CI Paint "Sky Blue" to add some beautiful shimmer to the balloons!

 I also used Sage, Silver Frost, Mellow Yellow and Fairy Dust to add shimmer to other parts of the image.

Using a cotton ball I sponged "Sky Blue" and "Sage" paints to add shimmer to the paper with the sentiment on.

Peace and Comfort

This week's freebie at Designed 2 Delight is a wonderful sympathy set.  Thankfully I haven't had to make too many of these cards, but now I will have one on hand when I do need one someday - hopefully a long time from now!

The set is called "Peace and Comfort".

Here is my card:

A close-up of the flowers.  I printed the image twice.  Layer (1) is the main layer and (2) I cut out the flowers and made each one of them at a little different height to make the image 3-D.

I used this week's sketch from CardPatterns: Sketch 83, which I think worked perfectly for this card.

The Designed 2 Delight group on Crafters Digital Art Center reached 250 members! 

So Faith gave us this free digi!  I love flowers!  It's too bad that fall will be here before we know it and we'll be dreaming for spring to come to once again plant flowers!

Vino

Week 2 of July we recieved the digital image "Vino" from Faith at Designed 2 Delight! I am really enjoying working with her images. They are such great images! If you missed out getting the freebie last week, you can either buy this one in her store and play along, or make sure to check her blog the first week of August.

Thanks to the wonderful and talent ladies for starting the Double Delight Challenge blog to go along with Faith's images. I am also enjoying playing along with your new challenges.

I decided to us the image to make a "Thinking Of You" card as a person can never have too many of those and I have been making so many birthday cards, that it was fun to do something else.
