Smiles For You

Hello Stamping Friends!

Your Next Stamp isn't having a release this month, instead the designers are featuring their favorite YNS Products!!

How awesome is that!?!?

But the hard part for me was....I LOVE everything YNS!!
So it was a little hard to decide what to use!

Once I started thinking, I decided to create one of my famous shaker cards!!

I absolutely LOVE the Circle Panel Die!  When Karen released this first panel die, I was in love!  I'm addicted to them!  They are so much fun to use 

I used the Smiley Happy Critter Crew Set One stamp set!  Because this was one of the first stamp sets that made me fall in LOVE with YNS!!  

This sweet ladybug sure puts a smile on my face!!  

All of YNS's stamp sets put a smile on my face, they are so much fun!!

Weird Holiday with MCT

Today's theme is...
Weird Holiday

I enjoy checking out all the 'Weird' holidays!

I decided to base my project off of June 3rd's 'Repeat Day"!! 

Little info on the day:

Possibly created by someone who loved doing the same thing over and over again, Repeat Day is an unofficial holiday that encourages people to re-do or re-state things multiple times. It is unclear why someone invented a holiday that would make celebrators sound like a broken record.

While Repeat Day is definitely one of the more bizarre holidays out there, it needs very little preparation or effort to celebrate - all you need to do is repeat yourself !!

I love flowers and was so excited when the Cute Flower Tag Die was released recently!! 

I created this tag:

With the weird holiday in mind, I decided to 'repeat' myself and create another tag as I really liked how it turned out so much!!

Here is my new tag:

So fun!!  I decided to go with a brighter plaid this time!!

I left the flower look like a daisy as that is what I really liked about my first one!  I just added some rhinestones to the center!

June 8th is Best Friends Day!
So I added the 'To my best friend'' sentiment to the inside of my tag, which is part of the Mini Spring Greetings stamp set!

This tag turned out, just as cute as the first one I made!!

A Sweet Friendship

Hello Stamping Friends!!

I have a card to share with you that I am featuring on the Dare 2B Artzy Blog today using the Refresh the Soul stamp set!!

I started by creating my card base using a piece of blue paper.  I then grabbed a piece of Pretty Petals paper for the plaid side to create a layer slightly smaller than my base.

I then did something a little different then I normally would!  I cut another layer slightly smaller from white cardstock and stamped the single flower from the Refresh the Soul stamp set with Totally Black Ink!  I inked the edges with a light blue ink!  I was a little skeptical on doing this at first, but thought I would give it a try!  Normally, I would have stamped the flowers in colored ink, either one color or multiple colors!

I really like how the stamped black flowers look.  I think if I would have done them colored, they would have blended into my card too much.  And my goal was for them to stand out, but not take away from the sentiment and pitcher!

The Pretty Petals paper contains a strip of dark blue with light blue polka dots, which I used for the top and bottom of my white cardstock layer I created to stamp my sentiment on, which is from the Refresh the Soul stamp set.  Isn't this sentiment true?!  A friendship is truly great for the soul!!

I fussy cut a pitcher from the Pitcher This designer paper to add next to my sentiment!!

Birthday Circles

I absolutely LOVE the new Circle Border Die, so I grabbed it to create this fun card:

The border creates such a fun edge for cards!!
