Let it Snow

Hello Stamping Friends!

Time for a new challenge at Your Next Stamp!!

Click here to find the current challenge!

-----------------

The theme this time around is:
A-Caroling We Will Go

The kids and I love singing 'Let It Snow'!  As we just love playing out in the snow!

So I found inspiration from that song to create this fun card:
I just had to use the fun Simply Circles stamp set again to create this fun background!!  I also used the Winter Unicorns Rock stamp set, for the cute snowflake stamps!!

After creating the background I used the Panel Shapes Die Set to die cut a few circles from the background to add some interest!  I used two of them to create shaker windows!

I used the Little Darling Winter stamp set for the 'Let it Snow' sentiment!

Super fun!!  I really like how this shaker turned out!!

Snow-One Like You

Hello Stamping Friends!

Time for a new challenge at Your Next Stamp!!

First one for the New Year!!

Click here to find the current challenge!
There is a fun sketch and colors to find inspiration from!!

Sketch:

Colors:

-----------------

I found some inspiration in some of the colors and followed the sketch!!

I created the background with some of my new Distress Oxides I got from Santa!!

I then randomly stamped some snowflakes from the Snow Much Joy stamp set with white ink!
I used the Scallop Circle Die Set and the Circles with Stitching and Piercing Marks Die Set to create the layers behind my adorable little snowman!!

The cute snowman is part of the Hot Cocoa Phoebe stamp set! I used the coordinating Hot Cocoa Phoebe Die Set to die cut him out when I was finished coloring him with my Copics!

The fun 'There's snow-one like you!' sentiment is part of the Little Darling Winter stamp set!!

And as in most cases, I finished off my card by adding some lovely Gumdrops!!

Let It Snow Shaker

Hello Stamping Friends!

I'm on the YNS Blog today sharing how I created a super fun card using the Circle Panel Die  that I absolutely LOVE !!

It is so much fun to work with!!  I got a bunch of awesome comments on the first one I created using and crafty friends asking how I made it!  So I thought I would share how I created my shaker card, scene here, using this fun die!

I started by running the die and a piece of white cardstock through my Big Shot!

I carefully removed the die and die cut piece, as I didn't want all the negative pieces to fall out as I want to leave some in place.

I laid the die cut piece on my work station with the front side down and began to figure out which ones I was keeping white (I ran tape across to keep adhered to the die cut), which ones would be replaced with pattern paper (removed the circle completely) and which ones would become shaker parts (left in place for now and place a black dot).
Once I had it all figured out, I ran tape in all areas possible.  I then adhered a piece of acetate across the entire back of this layer.

I then flipped the layer over to view the front!

As I wanted to add the sentiment and along with some snowflakes, before I start adding the foam for the shaker windows!

I decided to stamp the "Let it Snow" sentiment from the adorable Little Darling Winter stamp set in Black Olive Ink!  With the 12" of snow we are currently getting, I found it very fitting!  I also decided to add a few of the tiny snowflakes from the set as well!

Before turning back around, I decided to add my pattern pieces of paper!  I used the super cute new Winter Plaids paper pad!!

You can cut your pattern paper into little strips, so that you can place them exactly where you need the die cut circles!  This helps in not wasting the entire piece of pattern paper.

Once you have all your pieces cut you can either add tape or glue to the back of each piece and place them back in place on the acetate!

I then flipped from front to back to figure which circles I needed to remove for my shaker portion (pieces with the black dot)!  Once they are all removed, you are then ready to add some fun to your card!

I used foam 3D tape to create each of the individual shaker windows. I also added some extra around the card, so that the entire card would evenly have dimension once I added the layer to my card base.
So much fun!!

Here's my finished card:
I love all the little shaker windows, combined with the pattern paper!  So fun!!

November Feature Day with YNS

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's Feature Day at Your Next Stamp!!

Feature Day Theme...
Christmas

With that in mind I decided to pull out one of my favorite sets from YNS called Winter Wishes, as I am a sucker for snowflake sets!
The beautiful large sentiment and larger snowflakes are from the Winter Wishes stamp set!

The tiny snowflakes are part of the beautiful Little Darling Winter stamp set!

I decided to create two, as I wanted to make one in non-traditional colors and then another in more traditional Christmas colors!

So another look at the non-traditional Christmas colored version:
I just love it!!

On both card I heat embossed the sentiment with glittery embossing powder!!
I LOVE it!  The sentiment sparkles so much!  Perfect for the holiday season!!

And then my traditional colored version:
So beautiful and elegant!!

First up I have a sweet card using the Word Critters – Winter Birds set!
This set is soooooo AMAZING!  I love it!
There are so many fun stamps in this set to use to create cute little scenes.

I thought I would add some ornaments to this branch, along with a house for the bird.
Isn't it sweet?!

-------------

For this next card I used the Little Darling Winter stamp set!
When I seen this set, I knew I had to have it!  The girl reminds me a lot of Elsa from Frozen!  My little girl is obsessed with that movie!!  So this set will be perfect for cards for her!!
Isn't see beautiful?!

The snowflakes I stamped around her are also from the set!!
As well as the sentiment!!

I added some glitter to the snowflakes on her dress, to make them sparkle!!

There is also a sweet snowmen (Olaf) in this set that is sure to melt your heart!!
