Welcome Fall

I can't believe it is fall, where did summer go?

We had a beautiful weekend this year for our annual trip to the Little Farmer in Fond du Lac.  My aunt lives there and our family takes a trip there every year.  This year was Ava's first time there and she loved it.

Here's a few digital layouts I created:
For Ava's album.  I just love these pictures of her!  The large one reminds me so much of myself when I was her age!  Our pictures look almost identical.

One for Sawyer's album.  He loved this horse swing!

Then one for both of them.

I never thought I would ever get into digital scrapbooking, but with the two little ones it makes it easier sometimes.  I still love actually playing with the paper and embellishments, but digital layouts will have to do once in awhile, so that I don't get too far behind!

Have a nice weekend!

Happy Digital Scrapbooking Day!

Designed 2 Delight ~ Snowball Fight!

50 Days till CHRISTMAS!!  (Just what you probably wanted to read, right?!?!)

This is my favorite time of the year!  I can't wait till the end of the month when I can put up our Christmas tree!

Faith from Deisnged 2 Delight just released this fun new set called "Snowball Fight".  You get this image with and without the snow and 3 sentiments.

Here's my card:

I just love this cute little bird!  Poor guy got hit in the head by the big jolly snowman! :)

I used two different punches to cut out the snowflakes I used on the background.
Personally I think they look a little plain.

So I used my Creative Inspiration Paints to add some shimmer to them!  These paints are truly amazing!  I used Winter Frost and Blue Ice.
They add such beautiful shimmer to everything!  Look at how I made these snowflakes come to life!

Have a wonderful day!

Star the Reindeer

A quick and simple card I made for Christmas.  I used Great Impressions Stamp "Star" (G388).  My family are huge hunters!  I thought this card would be perfect for my mom and dad.

A simple card, yet I think very elegant.

Have a great day!

Beautiful Day

I've been on a roll with layouts lately!!  Hopefully this habit keeps up as I am so far behind on my scrapping!

A layout for Ava's album.  I got these photos from my aunt who watches Ava once in awhile on her Friday's off.  She usually takes Ava to my Grandparents house (Ava's Great Grandparents).  My Aunt took these pictures last month and I thought they were so cute.

Don't you love her face in the top right photo?  She makes it so much!!

Have a nice day!

My little man just LOVES summer!  He'd live outside if he could!  I love playing outside with him and Ava! Walks, parks, running around, swimming, camping....

These are some pictures that were taken right before his 1st Birhtday in '09.

Can't wait for next summer!

Creative Inspirations Paints ~ Fall is in the Air

Good morning!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and a safe Halloween! I can't believe it's November already!!

Once again it is my turn on the Creative Inspiration Blog to share some inspiration. With fall being in the air around here, I thought I would do something fall related along with using the shimmery paints to make a more manly card. Most often I find these cards the hardest to make, but I think I did good!

My creation:

Sometimes it’s hard to make a manly card and yet use shimmer on it, but I used it in a very subtle way that it works well. So these beautiful CI Paints can be used on those manly cards as well without making them girly!

I first stamped one of the leaf images on white cardstock and then kind of quickly used CI Paints Garnet, Mango, Mellow Yellow, Buttercup, Citrus, Canary, Sunshine to paint in the leaf.  I wanted to act quickly so that I could blend the colors in together while they were still wet.

The end result:
Isn't that beautiful?  I didn't completely glue down the leaf, I left some of the edges up to make it look 3-D.

I used CI Paint Mango around the edges of the outside cardstock to add some more shimmer to the card.  The paints are great for adding this little added touch, just like when you do it with ink.

Have a great day!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!  I hope you don't have too much of a spooky Halloween...but more of a sweet one! :)  I can't wait to take the kids trick or treating this afternoon!

It's the last Sunday of the month, which means this is the last chance to be entered in this month's drawing for some free CI Paints!  These paints are amazing!

This week's challenge:

Here's a quick, cute little card I made at a make in take while I was at the Mall of America and of course while I was making it, I was thinking how I could add CI Paints to this card!

I used Amethyst to cover the brad, Mango to alter the designed paper of the pumpkin and the tag, along with Fairy Dust to alter the tag.

These paints add some much to a card!

Can't wait to see what everyone creates!  Make sure to post your project to the CI Blog!

Have a wonderful Halloween!

Pumpkin Patch

Sawyer's first visit to the pumpkin patch was so much fun!  He probably could have spent hours searching for the right pumpkins!  He really enjoyed picking out pumpkins for everyone.

The pumpkin is a digital stamp from Designed 2 Delight called "Scaredy Cat" - I cropped the cat out.  I was having a hard time finding a pumpkin I liked for this LO and then thought about using a digital stamp and this was the first one to come to mind.

Have a fantastic day!
