Here's some inspiration for you:

Here is a card sketch....

and photo/colors to find inspiration from....

What a fun sketch and colors to find inspiration from!

-----------------

I decided to follow the sketch as well as grabbing a few of the colors!!

Here's my card:

I started by using the Peek a Boo Trio Die Set to create the top layer on my card!  The tiny squares I then stamped the Flower Ink Splatter in different colors on each square!

The sweet sentiment is from the Woodland Cuties stamp set!

I am so in love with how this card turned out!!

I finished it off by adding some lovely purple gumdrops from the Spellbound Gumdrops pack!

Retro TV

Hello Stamping Friends!

Have you had a chance to check out the new Retro Cool release from Frantic Stamper!?!

I had a lot of fun with this release!!
You can see the entire release here!

Here are two cards I created using the new Retro TV's:
For this first one I used the Small Retro TV!
I really like how this card turned out!
The "News Flash!!" sentiment was computer generated!

I like that I used some fun chevron pattern paper to make it look as if the TV was acting up, to actually get someone's attention to make and announcement!

Next up, I used the Large Retro TV...
Once again, the sentiment is computer generated, but this time I die cut it so that it was in the TV!!

So super fun!!

Have a lovely day!

Fun with Stamps

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's my day once again to post on the Honey Bee Stamps Blog!!

Today I am featuring two cards!!!

I recently got some awesome dies from Frantic Stamper's Retro Cool Release!

But really didn't have sentiment stamps to go along with them.  I could have created them on my computer and printed them off.

But Honey Bee Stamps selection of awesome mix and match stamp sets makes creating your own sentiments so much fun!!

So first up I got this adorable Small Retro Telephone Die!  Right away I thought a sentiment about talking would be cool!  As those special long talks with friends are always a cherished moment!  Why not let a friend know that!

I started by stamp the "talks" using the awesome Hand Lettered Alpha!!  I truly love this alphabet set!!
I then stamped the "love our", which is two separate stamps, from  the Cherish stamp set!

I think it is so cool how I am able to create this sentiment with these sets!!

I just love being able to mix and match sets!  Makes for endless possibilities!!!

Next up I created this super fun card:
I just love this pair of glasses from the Retro Glasses die set!  There are 4 dies in this set!!!

I also used the Spectacular die!  But wanted to add "you are"!  Not a problem with all the lovely mix and match stamps Honey Bee has to offer!!  This time I grabbed my Thanks stamp set, which has both the "you" and the "are"!

I love the combination of dies and stamps!!

"Bee" sure to check out all the lovely products Honey Bee Stamps has to offer!
Check out all of Frantic Stampers dies!!!!
Happy Stamping!!

YNS Upsy Daisy Day DT Dare

Hello Stamping Friends!

It's DT Dare day at Your Next Stamp!!

DT Dare is....
Upsy Daisy Day

Upsy Daisy Day according to Chase's Calendar of Events, "is a day to remind people to get up gloriously, gratefully, and gleefully each morning."

You often hear someone say to a child "Upsy daisy" when they are lifting them up off the ground or onto something. Think of Upsy Daisy Day as a day to forget your troubles, lift yourself up, and be cheerful about all that life has to offer.

With that in mind I instantly thought of the new Happy Everything stamp set as well as the new Happy Die!
I first started by using the Tiny Dots Edge stamp to create my super fun background!!  I really like how it turned out!

I then added some two sided tape to a piece of black cardstock and die cut the Happy Die and added it to my stamped background layer!  I really like this die, the font is so very fun!!

I then stamped the "everything" from the Happy Everything stamp set underneath!  Just a friendly reminder to always be happy with everything life brings to your life!!

I finished off my card by adding some fun sparkly gumdrops!!

Be sure to check out the other DT projects on the YNS Blog and leave a comment for your chance at winning a stamp set of your choice!!

Snowflakes are Unique...

Hello Stamping Friends!!

I'm on the Dare 2B Artzy Blog today!!

I have a fun and simple tutorial to share with you today, called Bordered Sentiment!

Grab some supplies:
 Stamps
Ink
Card Base
Card Layer
Cut Strip of Thin Paper
Painter's Tape

Take your main card layer and place the cut thin strip of paper on top where you would like your sentiment to go.  I used a piece of printer paper.  Adhere painter's tape to the thin piece of paper on each side of the card layer to keep it in position.
This will keep the area underneath the paper blank, so any images stamped won't show in that area where we will later stamp a sentiment, creating a "border" around the sentiment, giving this technique it's name "Bordered Sentiment"!!

I decided to place my piece of paper at a slant to give a little interest to the card.

Stamp whatever images you wish! For my card today I decided to get a head start on some Christmas cards, so I decided to use the beautiful SnowflakeWishes stamp set!!  So I started stamping the pretty snowflakes!
I used the Paradise, Midnight Blue and WildOrchid Ink Pads!

When you are satisfied with the design you have created, you can remove the painter's tape and piece of paper!  You are now ready to stamp your sentiment! (I also decided to add the smaller snowflake by my sentiment, which you will see in my finished card!)
You can also use a ruler if you wish to draw a line to accent the border more! Which I have done as well!

My finished card:

Isn't it beautiful?  I sure think so!!

Close-up:

I finished up my card by adding some bling among my beautiful stamped snowflakes!
