"Happy Birthday" and Racing Memories

The month of January between family and friends, we have a ton of birthdays! In my immediate family my little girl turned 1 last week, my father-in-law's b-day was Thursday, my brother-in-law yesterday and MY birthday today!!  Then I have a bunch of friends b-days scattered throughout the month!

I have mentioned this before, but have gained a lot of new followers, so just thought I mention it again for those that don't know, our family is big into racing!!  My husband and I have been together 10 years! Other then summer of 2009 & 2010, we spend almost every Saturday night at the race track!  It has been such a passion of mine, and honestly something I never thought I would EVER do!!! Yet along be good at!!

Making this card for my brother-in-law's b-day brought back all the racing memories.  We sold my car last and it brought tears to my eyes!  But with the two kids, my priorities have changed for awhile!  I wasn't ready to let go, but keep thinking that someday I may just get back behind the wheel!  It also was a bummer that our local track changed from asphalt to dirt, which kind of put us with no place close to race.  The track was only like a few miles from our house!

I enjoyed racing against the guys!!  They just HATED being beat by a girl! LOL I thought it was funny and I think that is what gave me all my motivation!!  The adrenalin rush was awesome as well!

We've met a lot of fun people through racing over the years and it was so fun to have the whole family together each weekend for support!  Let along I just loved my fans, especially the kids!!  They'd always bring me good luck charms and cute little things!  It really was a blast!

Something I will always hold dear!  The times were so much fun!  I felt like a celebrity when I was there!  All the attention and autographs!

So here are some pictures to share:
This was my last racecar.  I just love my Honda CRX!!

My husband's Mid-American.  He still races a few times each summer in some of the series races around here.

Well...I think I've poured my heart out enough...on to my card:

I found this stamp from The Stamping Boutique "AJ the race car driver" and just HAD to have it!  It'll be used a lot!  I added the number 64 to the front of the racecar, as that is my brother-in-law's #.  A quick and fun card!

The Stamping Boutique is currently having a DT Call.  I sent in my info!  Check it out if you're interested.

Hope you are having a great weekend!
