IBS Sneak Peeks

Good morning !! 

Friday is the July release day at Inspired By Stamping!!
There's some more great sets being released this month!!

I have had such a blast creating my projects for today!!

First up, I want to share a wedding card I created!

When I received the Fancy Alphabet, I was instantly attracted to the uppercase letters!

I thought they were perfect for wedding cards, thank you cards and note cards!!

I had a wedding card I needed to created so I put the "S" in use!

So elegant!!

So when I was creating this card, I was sure that I had a black and white piece of paper that had either swirls or a damask design to it!  Could you think I could find it?!  Of course not!!  I'm sure I will find it now that I have it made.....but better yet, I remembered last month IBS release the set Vintage Backgrounds!  So I used one of them to create my own piece of paper!!

For the inside I used All Years Wishes II:

For this project I used the new Yummy Food Labels set!  This set will be so fun to use for gifts!

Which is what I did for this project!

One of the ladies that works for me has a major sweet tooth!!  Her birthday was last week so I created this little package for her!  The kids and I made some yummy cookies to put inside!!

Before I altered the container:

Yummy cookies!  (I "had" to eat a few as well!) This is a Stampin' Up container I never used for the stamps I got in it, so I washed it out and thought I would alter it for a little gift!

I also used some of IBS's beautiful flowers!!

I am also currently working on a layout with this set, so excited!! :)  You'll have to be sure to check back to see it!

Lastly, I am going to share a layout I created for my little girls album!!

I used the new set Tea Party for the tea cup and cup embellishments.  Along with the "Tea Party" and "You're my cup of tea" sentiments!! I also used the new Delicate Doilies II to create the piece of paper on the left, behind my daughter's photo!  Love the doilies!!

The set is so fun to use to create your own papers!

So Special

Today I am sharing a card with you using the new Dainty Doilies set from My Thoughts Exactly!!

I honestly have never used doily stamps before!  All I have to say....I LOVE them and now am hooked!!  There is so many fun things you can do with them!!

I've created a card for one of my employees, just to let her know how important she is to me!  The beginning of the season is always so crazy! 

For those that may not know...I work for our family owned business...the guys take care of the mowing and landscape end and I am in charge of all the gardens, bed maintenance and landscaping! I have a few very large accounts that have some beautiful gardens and I just LOVE it!  So it has been a crazy, crazy, crazy year already!  Most of my employees don't start till the middle of June as one is a teacher and the other is still in high school, but the one I created this card for starts right at the beginning of the growing season, so she always seems to keep me relaxed! and the stress limited!

It's going to be such an interesting season, as it started so early!  Most of the stuff is blooming 3-4 weeks ahead of what it usually does! 

Anyway, here is the simple yet delicate card I created:

I used the doilies to create the right side of the paper.  You can easily create your own papers with this set, the large doily could easily be used as a frame behind a colored image or even a sentiment!

I stamped another one of the doilies on a separate piece of paper so I could cut it out and pop it up along with the sentiment.

What a pretty set!!  The little sentiments fit nicely inside the bottom right doily!

He loves stars!  So I thought this would be a great challenge to get his card made!! :)  He had so much fun counting the stars!

I used the Deer Dad set for the "Happy Birthday" sentiment!

Zoo Trip

I can't believe my little guy turns 4 today!  Every year since his 1st Birthday I have taken him to the Zoo, out to eat and of course Toys R Us!  If his birthday lands on a weekday it's been an automatic day off for me!!! It's such a special day!! 

This is a layout of our trip to the Zoo in 2010!

Once again, today we are off to the Zoo, Toys R Us and he mentioned he wanted to go to Chuckie Cheese!

Christmas Resist with SS

This week's Sweet Stamps Challenge is a:

Christmas Resist

Wow, I must admit, it was kind of hard trying to make a Christmas card, when the weather is so warm and nice here!  But, it has gotten me in the spirit and thinking I really need to start on those x-mas cards!  Before you know it, Christmas will be here once again!!

So for the entire month, each week we will be sharing Christmas projects using various Christmas/Winter stamps from SS!!


I am in love with the Snowflake #1 from SS, along with the I Love Snow sentiment!  As although I hate driving in the white stuff, it sure does make our landscape look pretty in winter!!


Here's the card I created:

I used the resist technique to create the bottom piece of paper. 

I first took a piece of watercolor paper and stamped my snowflake image with VersaMark and then embossed with white embossing powder!  I then used a paint brushed dipped in water and then in the cover of my two paint choices I used; Denium and Turquoise.  I painted the two colors on the paper until I got a background I liked.  I then lightly took a piece of towel and wiped of the excess on the snowflake images.  

What a beautiful shimmer!

I used CI Paint Winter Frost to add shimmer to the snowflakes!!  My favorite paint to use for holiday cards!!

I just love this flower border!  Was a late night idea the other night!

I used the set Many Thanks to create the white embossed sentiment.

The little guy loved to tie a rope to his Gator and pull his sis in her little Coupe car!  It was so cute!!

Fun Flower

Hello sweet crafty friends!

Today is my day to post over on the My Thoughts Exactly DT Blog!  Make sure to check the blog out for a ton of amazing inspiration with MTE stamps!!

Recently the Up, Up, and Away set was released:

What a fun mix and match set, I just love it!

Although, I decided to make my hot air balloon into a flower!! :)

As some of you may know I love flowers!!  I just love working in my flower beds!

I stamped the polka dot pattern in the two middle sections and balloon outline 6 times and then cut out the center parts!

My finished card and flower:

How fun!  Not only can you make fun hot air balloons, but you can make flowers as well!! :)

Patriotic or Summer with SS

This week's Sweet Stamps Challenge is a:

Patriotic or Summer

I decided to lean towards the Summer side of the challenge as I wanted to work with the new Butterfly stamps again!!  I just love summer and seeing butterflies fly among my flowers!!

I just love enjoying a beautiful summer day!  

I used the new Fanciful Butterflies for this card!! LOVE!  It is a set of four butterflies, I used all of them for this card!

I also love Beautiful Day sentiment!

For this challenge I also wanted to challenge myself to not using any designer paper!  And keeping it clean and simple, something I struggle with sometimes!  I have to admit I am very happy with the turn out!
