Candy Corn Boxes

I seen a cute tutorial on making witch hat candy boxes and then another lady take the idea and make them into candy corn treat boxes!

I thought they were adorable, so I had to do it myself!!
How cute are these?

The bats were cut from the new "Halloween" Designer Paper from K & Company.

I used a paint brush to add shimmer to a few of the embossed parts of the paper with Creative Inspiration Paints.  I used "Fairy Dust" (my fav!!) for the main bacground and for the tag (picture on the right) I used "Mango" and "Mellow Yellow" to color in the candy corn.

These cute boxes are so easy to make!

1. Cut white card stock to 4 1/4" x 11"

2. On both sides find the middle, 2 1/8".

3. Score at 5 1/2"

4. Score diagonally from the 2 1/8" mark to one side of sides where the 5 1/2" score mark came to. (Picture below) I used my paper trimmer to score as I found it made it easier.

5. Pre-fold.

6. Cut a piece of white cardstock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", find the middle of it again and this time  actually CUT to the bottom corner on both side from the 2 1/8" mark to get a triangle.

7. Then adhere strips of colored paper.

8. Trim the excess.

9. I then sent it throught my Cuttlebug.

The results:

10. Add CI Paints.  Or decorate it in any way you wish.

11. Punch a small whole through the top middle.

12. Weave ribbon through the holes.

13. Adhere the decorated candy corn piece of paper to the front.

14. Add a tag if you wish.

Pretty simple!

Have a wonderful day!
