Whoo Hoo Wed. With IBS

Whoo Hoo!!

It's time for another Whoo Hoo Wednesday tutorial with Inspired By Stamping's wonderful stamps!!

When many of us think of stamping, we think of stamps and then the color of ink we are going to use to ink them up!

Today, I am going to share with you another fun medium to use to "ink" up your stamps.

Recently, I tried using Bleach with some stamps and liked how it turned out, so I wanted to share with all of you!

Start by choosing the stamps you would like to use.
Pour some bleach into the cap.
Grab a little paint brush.
Lastly, choose your paper.
Now, you may need to experiment a little to find a paper that works, as not all paper is affected by the bleach.

Using the paint brush lightly dip it into the cover and then brush the bleach onto the stamp.
Then stamp the image on your paper.

Here is a look at the first one I stamped:
I decided to use the new Delicate Doilies II to create a bleached background piece of paper.

Lastly, I dipped the brush into the cover and then flicked the paint brush over the paper to get a few random splatters.

I really like how it turned out!  I just love creating my own papers!

The entire piece of paper:
How fun!

As I am putting this post together looking at this finished paper, I'm thinking, these doilies would also make great snowflakes for those holiday cards!!

Moving on here is my finished card:
I used the Beautiful Ovals set to create the two layers of the stamped ovals.
The Thank You sentiment is from the set The Sky's The Limit.

I used the largest oval to create the window on this card, so that when you open it up you still see the sentiment and ovals!

Rainbow

I've been wanting to use the Many Thanks set from My Thoughts Exactly for a really long time now to create this card I had in mind:

I just LOVE how it turned out!!

I was then SUPER excited as Paper Creations picked it to be in last month's issue!!  Another publication for me this year!!  YAY!!

Thank You
for being my rainbow on a cloudy day

Added a little Creative Inspirations shimmer to the embossed background!

Here is the magazine article:

This past December my sister, mom and I took a trip to Hawaii!  During our trip we took a day trip to the Big Island and toured the volcano's!  So fun!  Anyway, on our adventure, we saw this beautiful rainbow, that I thought I would share:
It was so unique to me, as I have never seen a complete rainbow before!  Mainly only have seen half of them!

And here's a picture of just half of it:
It was so bright and beautiful!

Stamped Background with SS

This week's Sweet Stamps Challenge is a:

Stamped Background

Well, with us celebrating Christmas in July last month I have been hooked on making Christmas cards!

So when I seen the title of this challenge I right away thought of the beautiful Tiny Snowflake Background!  So I thought I would make another Holiday card and hope help motivate those that haven't started on theirs yet!
I created an oval window using one of my Spellbinder dies, as I thought it would be nice to see the cute parchment craft Stitched Button Snowman when you open the card yet!

I just love the font of the Merry Christmas Script, so elegant!
I used my new Tim Holtz Distress Markers to color the snowman in!

A look at when you open the card:
I used the Holiday Sparkle Duo for the inside sentiment!

CI Celebrates 3rd Anniversary

Creative Inspirations is celebrating their 3rd Anniversary!

How exciting!!

We've decided to have a "BIRTHDAY" themed blog hop!

You should have came here from Kassi's blog, if not, please start at Creative Inspirations Blog as you don't want to miss out on all the fun!

I have been in LOVE with CI's shimmery paints since I first got my hands on them!!
They come in a wonderful variety of colors!
And most importantly, they are soooo SHIMMERY and beautiful!!

Here is the card I created for the hop:
I used CI Paints in:
Sunshine
Tutu Pink
Tickled Pink
Amethyst
Lavender
Sky Blue
Turquoise
Beige
Autumn Wheat

I first stamped the image using black pigment ink and then embossed it using CI Deliquesce Fine Black embossing powder!

I then used the paints to color in the cupcake image!  A fun stamp set I received from a sweet friend!

The "Happy" is from the Lovey Puns Animals from My Thoughts Exactly.  The entire sentiment actually reads "Happy Valentine's Day", but I masked each letter of the "Happy" to create the letters on the banner.

The "Birthday" is also from MTE!  The set is called Big Thoughts, a wonderful mix and match set with many sentiment possibilities.
I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark and embossed with one of my favorite Deliquesce Embossing Powders from CI!  It's called Super Sparkle Pink!!  So pretty!

Lastly a close-up of the shimmer:
YUMMY!!

Your next stop along out Birthday hop is Sandie's wonderful blog!

Here's a look at the entire hop list:

Time for another wonderful sketch to find inspiration from!
I just love Joanna's sketches!

For this card I used the new Delicate Doilies II!
I just love this set!
I used one of the border stamps to create the teal borders on each side of the pretty DP!

The sentiment is from the set All Year Wishes II!

Christmas Ornament with SS

This week's Sweet Stamps Challenge is a:

Christmas Ornament

I created my own ornament, using a fun technique that has been going around the web for awhile now and then used Sweet Stamps to create a tag to go with it!
(The post before this shows how I created the ornament)
Sorry I forgot to take a picture of just the ornament!  I used vinyl to add "Alaina" to the ornament.  I created this for a friend as the had an adorable little girl this past January and one year for Christmas I created ornaments for her and her husband and thought I better create one for their little girl now!

I just love this non-traditional colored Christmas tag! The Merry Christmas Script is a great font!

A close-up:
I love this Winter Tree!  I used Liquid Applique to add snow to the tree!  So fun!  Then of course had to add some bling!

I used a snowflake die to create these snowflakes and then added some Creative Inspirations Paint in Winter Frost to make them shimmer!

Glittery Ornaments

I still am hooked on creating those wonderful glittery Christmas ornaments!

I decided I needed to make some with Creative Inspirations lovely Resplendence Glitters!

They are so easy and fun to make!  My kids love making them with me!

1. Gather Your Supplies:
Pledge With Future Shine (Blue Cap)
Creative Inspirations Resplendence Glitters
Clear Ornaments (Got mine from Hobby Lobby)
Paper Towels
Vinyl and Cricut(optional)

2. Remove top and add Pledge to the inside.
3. Use finger to hold paper toweling on the opening.
4. Shake!
5. After shaking for a few seconds, pour excess back into the bottle.

6. Carefully pour glitter in the inside.
7. Cover again with paper towel and shake!
Just look at the beautiful shimmery glitter!! LOVE!
For this one I used Resplendence Regal Red!

Aren't they beautiful!!!??!!!
Creative Inspirations also carries Resplendence Glitters in Burgundy and Angel Dust!
So get started on those Holiday ornaments!

A fun option, which I didn't do with the two above, is to personalize them with a name!

Using your Cricut you can cut a vinyl name and adhere it to the ornament!

Here's a picture of me adding the name "Alaina" to another one I created.
These make wonderful gifts!
As I mentioned before they are also fun to create with the kids!
We made a set two years ago and each Christmas each of us hang ours on the tree!

As shown above, they are also perfect without a name!

Have a great day!
